Robby Fabbri News
Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri will skip Tuesday's game against Edmonton for personal reasons. Fabbri has been anonymous on the ice lately, and a chance to reset might do good for him. He has gone scoreless in nine of his 14 appearances since the turn of the year. The 28-year-old was much more productive earlier in the campaign and has collected 21 points (13 goals, eight assists) through 39 games for the season. Fabbri's absence will allow Klim Kostin to re-enter the lineup against his former team. Following a good spell with the Oilers, Kostin has struggled in Motown, logging only four points (three goals, one assist) in 30 appearances.
Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri was the main driving force offensively for the team on Wednesday versus the Rangers, picking up a goal and an assist in a 3-2 defeat. He had a power-play assist when Moritz Seider tied the game at one and gave Detroit the lead with his fifth goal of the campaign, but the Red Wings offense disappeared in the third period. Fabbri has enjoyed a very good run of form lately, logging five of his seven points this season across the past four games. He's played in seven consecutive games after missing time earlier in the season with a lower-body injury.
Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri (rest) will rejoin the lineup for Saturday's battle with the Blue Jackets. He returned from a lower-body injury Tuesday against the Rangers, but Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde didn't want to play Fabbri in consecutive games, which led to his absence on Thursday versus Montreal. Fabbri logged 12:42 of ice time on the third line in Tuesday's matchup. He's set to continue in a third-line role on Saturday, having skated with Joe Veleno and Christian Fischer in Friday's practice. Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere is also expected to return after being a healthy scratch on Thursday.
Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri (lower body) is ready for game action again and will rejoin the lineup for Tuesday's battle against the Rangers. He has missed 11 games after scoring on opening night against New Jersey. Fabbri is projected to skate on the third line with Joe Veleno and Daniel Sprong. We've seen very little of Fabbri in recent years due to injuries, but he has been a productive player when healthy, averaging 0.57 points per game for his Red Wings career.
