Max Domi News
Toronto Maple Leafs center Max Domi finished with two assists in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss against the Blackhawks. Domi recorded his third multi-point game of the season while helping out on goals by forwards Nicholas Robertson and Calle Jarnkrok, while he ranks fifth on the team with 11 assists through 18 games. Domi has not scored a goal as a member of the Maple Leafs, but the 28-year-old has showcased his playmaking abilities while centering the third line and should be rostered across standard fantasy formats.
Well-traveled forward Max Domi is on the move again, having agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 28-year-old was picked up by the Dallas Stars from Chicago in the middle of last season and Domi had previously expressed interest in settling down in Texas, but he ended up packing his bags again. The Maple Leafs are going to be the seventh NHL team for Domi. He had a solid 56-point campaign across 80 outings in 2022-23, and Domi, whose father Tie is the Maple Leafs all-time leader in penalty minutes, will help out Toronto in multiple areas.
Dallas Stars forward Max Domi is hoping to remain with the team next season. The Stars acquired Domi from Chicago back in March, giving the 28-year-old his fourth team in two seasons, and he's been happy to move around, but the pending unrestricted free agent has told reporters that he is now hoping to settle down in Texas. "I've been one of those people that have been signing shorter term deals, which gives you the opportunity to move around a little bit at the [trade] deadline here and there, but maybe getting some more security and stability would be something that I'm hoping to do," Domi said. "And listen: I hope that's here." Domi has played for six different NHL teams in total in just eight seasons. He initially struggled to make an impact in Dallas but had a decent postseason run with the team, recording 13 points in 19 games.
Dallas Stars forward Max Domi notched a game-high three points in Tuesday's 6-3 victory over Seattle. He scored two goals and had an assist, reaching 10 points for the postseason. Only two players have had more points through their first 10 playoff games with the team since the franchise moved to Dallas in 1993-94. All of Domi's points have come in the last six games, and he now has two separate three-point performances in the series against Seattle. The versatile forward has enjoyed a great run of form and didn't even need Joe Pavelski on his line to shine Tuesday.
