Linus Ullmark News
Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark is getting the starting nod for Tuesday's contest versus the visiting Ottawa Senators. The veteran has been alternating starts with Jeremy Swayman of late after Swayman had overtaken the starter's role despite Ullmark winning the Vezina Trophy last season. He was likely to repeat his tidy 1.89 goals-against average and .938 save percentage from 49 games last season but Ullmark still sports a quality 2.66 GAA and .912 Sv% across 33 outings (32 starts) this season, going 18-7-7 in the process. The Bruins enter Tuesday's contest sitting atop the Atlantic Division with a 40-14-15 record, one point up on the Florida Panthers who have six more regulation wins.
Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark recorded his first shutout of the season on Thursday as the team beat the Canucks on home ice 4-0. A tough matchup turned out to be a walk in the park for Ullmark and the Bruins, as only 17 saves were needed to keep the league leaders from scoring. Ullmark improved to 16-6-2, and he boasts a 2.67 goals-against average with a .916 save percentage. The Bruins are among the top defensive teams in the league, and they are now tied for the fourth-most shutouts for the season, with four clean sheets registered.
Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark (lower body) is an option to start Thursday versus Colorado. He's been unavailable for three games while dealing with a lower-body injury. Ullmark has gone 13-5-2 this season while splitting starts with Jeremy Swayman. The latter has just posted his third shutout of the campaign, so it might be difficult to keep him out of action on Thursday, but Ullmark should be back between the pipes soon.
Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark and forward Matt Poitras both remain day-to-day for the club and will remain on the club's four-game road trip. Ullmark left Tuesday's overtime loss to the Arizona Coyotes midway through the extra frame with what is being labeled a lower-body injury. The 2022-23 Vezina Trophy winner hasn't been quite as sharp this season as he sports a 2.78 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage in 21 outings after posting an eye-popping 1.89 GAA and .938 Sv% in 49 games last season. Poitras also left Tuesday's game early with a shoulder injury after skating 8:34. The rookie has notched five goals and 15 points across his first 30 NHL games while recording 38 shots and a plus-four rating in that time.
