Warren Foegele News
Edmonton Oilers winger Warren Foegele found the back of the net twice in Wednesday's high-scoring 6-5 overtime loss to Boston. Following a line shake-up, Foegele rode shotgun with Connor McDavid and took full advantage of the opportunity, netting the team's first two goals. The 27-year-old has now tallied three goals across two games with six shots while going plus-five, which must be very pleasing for Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch. Foegele's overall productivity has resulted in 13 goals and 16 assists in 53 games this season.
Edmonton Oilers winger Warren Foegele sent off 2023 with a bang on Sunday, posting a career-high five points in a 7-2 victory over Anaheim. He scored twice and delivered three assists. Sunday's monster effort was a continuation of Foegele's recent good dorm. He entered the matchup averaging a point per game for his previous three outings. The 27-year-old has landed next to Leon Draisaitl on the second line, which puts him in a good position to remain a regular among the scorers. Foegele has notched seven goals for the entire campaign with 12 assists in 34 games.
Edmonton Oilers forward Warren Foegele (undisclosed) and Ryan McLeod (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup Monday against Florida. The latter is also set to miss multiple games, as the team moved McLeod to Injured Reserve on Sunday. Foegele is listed as day-to-day and could end up sitting out for just one game. Both players have been skating on Edmonton's third line, and the injury is a major bummer to McLeod, who had an outstanding game with three assists on Saturday against the Rangers. He's on eight points for the whole season and Foegele has registered five points. With the two out, James Hamblin is set to get his NHL debut and Devin Shore will also re-enter the lineup Monday. Hamblin has tallied nine points in 16 AHL appearances this season, while Shore has struggled at the NHL level, picking up only one point in 16 outings.
Edmonton Oilers left-winger Warren Foegele got to play on the top line again on Saturday and took advantage of the situation. He scored twice as the Oilers won via a dominating road performance Saturday. Foegele scored on the second power-play unit late in the first period thanks to a nice play by Kailer Yamamoto. Then, while on the top line, Foegele connected again at 8:54 of the final stanza from Evan Bouchard and Leon Draisaitl. The left-winger's second goal proved to be the game winner as he fired five more shots on goal. Foegele now has four or more shots in three of his last five games. Quietly, he is gaining more traction as a middle-six depth fantasy addition on rosters.
