Jordan Greenway News
Buffalo Sabres wingers Jeff Skinner (upper body) and Jordan Greenway (upper body) are poised to return to the lineup for Thursday's matchup against Toronto. Both players have been activated from Injured Reserve ahead of the clash. Greenway has been absent for nine games, while Skinner has missed the last three. The latter is definitely the bigger piece for Buffalo and is set to rejoin the top line and the first power-play unit on Thursday. However, Greenway will also add some two-way quality to the team's third line. Tyson Jost and Victor Olofsson are set to come out of the lineup on Thursday to make room for Skinner and Greenway.
Buffalo Sabres left wing Jordan Greenway (upper body) is reportedly nearing a return to the lineup. He missed a ninth consecutive game Tuesday versus Columbus. However, Greenway is practicing again and looks to be getting close to being available for selection again. The 26-year-old has posted two goals and five assists in 21 appearances, with 26 shots on goal, 29 hits, and 20 blocks. He can pop up with offensive contributions here and there but mostly does the dirty work, and the Sabres could definitely use some grit after getting embarrassed in a 9-4 defeat Tuesday.
Buffalo Sabres left wing Jordan Greenway (upper body) won't be available for Sunday's game against Nashville. He was injured in Saturday's encounter with the Hurricanes and will miss his fourth contest of the campaign. Greenway has contributed two goals and five assists in 21 appearances while logging 29 hits and 20 blocks. His spot in the lineup will go to Isak Rosen, who will make his fourth career appearance in the NHL. The 20-year-old was recently brought up from the minors after Rosen racked up 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in 16 AHL appearances.
Buffalo Sabres forward Jordan Greenway will likely return to the lineup for Thursday's contest against the St. Louis Blues. The former Minnesota Wild winger has missed the last three games due to a personal matter. "I think he's a legitimate option for St. Louis. He looked very good," Sabres head coach Don Granato said. The 26-year-old is in his first full season in Buffalo following a mid-season trade to the Sabres last season and has contributed two goals and four assists in 19 games along with 28 hits, 19 penalty minutes, and a minus-one rating while skating 17:08 per game, a major increase over his 14:22 career average. Forward Jiri Kulich, who has 17 points in 16 games with AHL Rochester, was sent down to make room for Greenway on the roster.
