Josh Anderson News
Montreal Canadiens winger Josh Anderson (lower body) will return to the lineup Saturday versus Boston. He makes his return after sitting out the past four games. Anderson is expected to join Jake Evans and Brendan Gallagher on the second line, and he should also get some power-play time as a member of the second unit. The 31-year-old is in desperate need of a jolt offensively, having recorded only seven goals and 12 points in 41 games. Jesse Ylonen will make room for Anderson in the lineup.
Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson will miss Saturday's contest against Edmonton. The 29-year-old has played in all 41 games this season so far, but it has been a very rough campaign for him. Anderson has had three separate point droughts of at least six games, and he's managed only seven goals and five assists in total. Rafael Harvey-Pinard will fill in for Anderson on the second line in Saturday's game. His season hasn't gone too well either, as Harvey-Pinard sits goalless through 14 appearances with four assists.
Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson (knee) will play Thursday versus Buffalo. Anderson hurt his right knee against Dallas on Tuesday and couldn't finish the game, but he luckily avoided a major injury. Anderson should assume his normal duties on the second line. With only six goals and five assists posted in 37 games this season, Anderson has been ineffective for large parts of 2023-24, but he's guaranteed to have a big role due to the team's injury crisis in the attack.
Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson injured his right leg in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Dallas. He exited the contest late in the third period. Anderson had his third straight game without a point. He's struggled to make an offensive impact all season long, collecting six of his 11 points over a five-game stretch right before the Christmas break. Entering Tuesday's action, the Canadiens were already without five regular forwards, so the frontline has taken a terrible beating by injuries this season.
