Tim Stützle News
Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle enjoyed a second consecutive multi-point outing and became the team's youngest-ever player with a 50-assist season in Monday's 3-2 victory over Carolina. The 21-year-old helped Claude Giroux on the scoreboard in the opening frame before notching a goal himself. Stutzle started the month with a four-game scoreless spell, but he has been in special form at the end of the season, registering 10 multi-point performances since March. Unfortunately, it hasn't helped the team to stay in the playoff race, but Stutzle should be pleased with how the season has gone for him personally, with the German talent on 88 points through 77 games.
Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle kept his point streak going with a three-assist effort Thursday versus Colorado. He had two power-play helpers and one even-strength assist in a hard-fought 5-4 defeat. Stutzle has points from five consecutive games and the streak includes four multi-point efforts. Getting points in bunches has become something of a habit for the young star, as Stutzle's work across the last nine games includes six multi-point performances. For the season overall, he has recorded 25 multi-point games, and Jason Spezza was the last Senator to have as many all the way back in 2007-08. Stutzle has emerged as one of the top assets in fantasy hockey and is averaging well above a point per game, with him having recorded 34 goals and 42 assists in 64 appearances.
Ottawa Senators left wing Tim Stutzle finished with two goals in Saturday's 5-2 victory against the Blue Jackets. The 21-year-old continues to dominate offensively as he extends his goal scoring streak to four consecutive games and surpasses the 30-goal mark for the first time in his young career. Stutzle leads the Senators with 31 goals on the season and he is tied with forward Brady Tkachuk with 66 points to lead all skaters on the team, while both forwards have provided early-round value across standard formats.
Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle notched a goal and two assists as the team cruised past Detroit 6-1 Tuesday. He netted a penalty shot to tie the game and assisted Claude Giroux and Brady Tkachuk, with Stutzle's first helper coming on the power play. The German sensation continues to impress regularly and is now just two goals short of becoming the 12th player this season with at least 30 goals and 30 assists. Stutzle sits 24th in overall scoring with 63 points in 56 games.
