Bryan Reynolds News
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds went 5-for-5 at the plate in Monday's victory with a home run and a double. Reynolds laced a double in the third inning to score Andrew McCutchen and then hit a solo shot to pad the Pittsburgh lead in the ninth. This perfect outing brings Reynolds to a solid .256/.351/.427 slash line with five total long balls through 42 games this season. The 29-year-old is a consistent fantasy contributor, and his strong underlying metrics suggest he could be in store for another successful season. He currently has a .266 xBA and .458 xSLG, which are both above-average among qualified hitters. The former Vanderbilt Commodore should always remain in your fantasy lineup and be considered in DFS.
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds blasted an extra-inning go-ahead two-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Giants. The switch-hitter went 2-for-5 in the game with the home run breaking a 1-1 tie in the top of the tenth inning. The home run came off of the Giants' LHP Taylor Rogers and was the first home run of the year that Reynolds has hit off of a lefty with his other three coming off righties. The 29-year-old is having a solid season thus far, posting a .264/.372/.418 slash line with four home runs, 17 RBI, 11 runs scored, two stolen bases, and a strong 14.7% BB% through 28 games.
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds had himself a great day at the dish on Thursday, going 2-for-3 with a pair of walks in a 7-4 victory over the Washington Nationals. Reynolds added a double, an RBI, and a run to round out his batting line. The 29-year-old is off to a great start to 2024 with a .323/.447/.548 triple slash line to go along with a homer, three runs scored, and nine RBI. Reynolds should continue to be a solid all-around contributor to fantasy lineups this season.

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds isn't coming off of his best season but the shine hasn't worn off yet. The 28-year-old saw his wRC+ drop to 110 last season from 124 in 2022 and 140 in 2021 but the fantasy production was there. He slugged 24 home runs and 31 doubles while stealing a career-high 12 bases and staying healthy enough to appear in 145 games for the second consecutive season. His wRC+ dip comes on the back of a decreased 8.3% BB%, more than 3% below his career-high 11.6% clip from 2021. He also benefited from a .345 BABIP that season to hit .302, so it's unreasonable to expect Reynolds to reach that high again as he's settled into the .263 range in each of the last two seasons. He ranked in the 70th percentile or better in just about every offensive metric known to Statcast in 2023, just as he has in previous seasons. At this point, there's very little to doubt his consistency and he looks all the part of a top-100 pick in fantasy baseball drafts this spring.
