Harrison Bader News
New York Mets outfielder Harrison Bader and second baseman Jeff McNeil are both sitting out of Tuesday's contest against the visiting division-rival Philadelphia Phillies. With both players starting on the bench, Tyrone Taylor will start in center field and bat seventh, while Joey Wendle will man the keystone and bat eighth against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola. Bader has gone 7-for-30 (.233) in 10 games in the month of May and is slashing a mediocre .265/.314/.319 with a homer, seven RBI and five steals in 113 at-bats on the year. McNeil is hitting just .230 on the season and has hit .191 (8-for-42) in 11 games so far in May. Neither Taylor nor Wendle will be very attractive DFS plays on Tuesday in a tough matchup against Nola. Taylor is hitting .400 with an RBI against Nola in his career, but in just five at-bats, while Wendle is hitting .250 with an RBI in 12 at-bats against Nola.
New York Mets outfielder Harrison Bader (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Fantasy managers don't need to worry as this appears to be a routine rest day for Bader. In his absence, Jeff McNeil is in left field with Starling Marte in center, and Joey Wendle starting at second base on Monday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly.
New York Mets outfielder Harrison Bader is getting the day off on Tuesday as the team takes on the visiting Chicago Cubs. Tyrone Taylor will replace him in center field and will hit sixth in the batting order against Cubs right-hander Javier Assad. Bader has cooled off in his last 26 plate appearances, going 3-for-26 with one RBI and four strikeouts in his last seven games to drop his season slash line to .265/.291/.325 in 86 plate appearances. The former third-rounder of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2015 out of Florida has just one home run on the year to go with seven RBI, five runs scored and 10 runs scored. Taylor is hitting .279 (17-for-61) with two home runs, 13 RBI and two steals on the year but will be a low-upside DFS sleeper toward the bottom of New York's batting order.

Harrison Bader had a postseason to remember in pinstripes, but he's still the same fourth outfielder waiting to happen that he was in St. Louis. He hit just .250/.294/.356 with five homers over 313 PAs last year. He stole 17 bags against three CS, but his 43.5 FB% and 17.8 IFFB% prevent him from taking full advantage of his wheels to get on base and pester opposing pitchers. The flies might be interesting if he had any power potential at all, but his 87.7 mph average airborne exit velocity and 3.4% rate of Brls/BBE are both well-below league average. Bader also paired a career-worst 37.3% chase rate with a career-best 9.9 SwStr%, a combination unlikely to repeat itself or last year's 19.8 K%. Hitting seventh in a Yankees lineup lacking depth will also make counting stats hard to come by. Bader's superlative glove doesn't matter in fantasy. You can do better at an ADP of 168.46, so don't overpay based on postseason heroics.
