Jack Driscoll News
The Miami Dolphins announced on Monday that they have signed free-agent offensive lineman Jack Driscoll to an undisclosed deal. Driscoll spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles after they took him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft at pick No. 145 overall. In the 26-year-old's 54 games played for Philadelphia, he only ended up starting 17 contests, mostly at tackle. Driscoll started nine of his 17 games in 2021 at right guard. He has made only four starts in the last two years for the Eagles, although he could be competing for a starting tackle spot in Miami in training camp this summer heading into his first season with the Dolphins in 2024.
Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Jack Driscoll (knee) will miss the rest of the 2020 season with a significant MCL sprain in his knee, according to sources. Driscoll toughed it out to finish the Week 14 win over the Saints, but further testing showed the full extent of the ailment. The 23-year-old from Auburn had been playing well for the Eagles, too, so it's another big loss for their beat up offensive line. Philadelphia already has offensive linemen Andre Dillard, Jason Peters and Lane Johnson on Injured Reserve due to injuries. The loss of Driscoll on top of that is bad news for running back Miles Sanders and rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts moving forward. Arizona's defensive line could take advantage in Week 15.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Auburn offensive guard Jack Driscoll with the No. 145 overall pick in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. Driscoll mostly played right tackle in college, but the graduate transfer and two-year Auburn starter also played guard at Massachusetts and projects to be a guard for the Eagles. His adequate size (6-foot-5, 306 pounds) should be enough, but he could get in trouble because of below-average length. Driscoll could make up for it with his quickness, though. He didn't show overpowering qualities in college with his run-blocking skills.
