Jacob Misiorowski News
Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski finally looked like the pitcher we were expecting to see when the season opened up, tossing 4 1/3 innings of one-hit ball for Double-A Biloxi on Tuesday. The 22-year-old did not allow a run while walking one batter and striking out seven. The righty had walked 11 batters over his first three starts, so it was good to see his command get back on track. He now has 22 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings on the young season and figures to see some Triple-A action sooner rather than later if he can string together a couple more good starts. The Brewers' top pitching prospect has the ability to be a front-of-the-rotation piece if he can keep the walks to a minimum, but at 6-foot-7 and with a fastball that can touch 100 mph, he could also be a closer. Either way, dynasty managers should keep a close eye on his ascent.
Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski has been inconsistent in his first two Double-A starts in the 2024 season. The flame-thrower has gone 7.1 innings, walking six batters while allowing a 4.91 ERA. Misiorowski has still flashed the power stuff that has made him a top prospect as he has 11 strikeouts and is holding opposing hitters to a .192 batting average. The 22-year-old has all the tools to be a front-of-the-rotation starter, however, he must throw more strikes and work deeper into games to reach his lofty ceiling. Misiorowski is still a great fantasy asset, as there are very few pitchers who can match his overall power arsenal.
Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski, a physical specimen who checks in at 6-foot-7 and 190 pounds, continues to build on an impressive season. The right-hander has ascended from Single-A to Double-A with ease, showcasing a dominant repertoire headlined by his 102 mph fastball. He has also done a fantastic job developing a mid-80s slider that breaks out of the zone and baffles hitters. Finally, the 21-year-old throws a curveball and changeup, both of which could develop into solid tertiary options. Misiorowski tossed six scoreless innings during his last outing on Aug. 12, surrendering one hit, three walks, and two hit batsmen. While his control was a little shaky, he still found his stuff for most of the game, racking up a whopping 12 strikeouts. It's safe to say that last year's second-round pick has already developed into one of baseball's top pitching prospects.
