Jack Quinn News
Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn (lower body) could return to the lineup when his team hosts the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday. The young winger underwent surgery to repair a lower-body injury that was sustained in a Jan. 27 contest against the San Jose Sharks. He has since missed the past 23 games. "He looked really good in practice," head coach Don Granato said of Quinn. Obviously, he had lots of time while we were gone (on a five-game road trip) to skate, skated every day or every day he was available to push it hard every day." The 22-year-old had been enjoying a solid season, tallying five goals and 12 points in 17 games prior to his injury, adding 37 shots on goal in that time.
Buffalo Sabres right wing Jack Quinn has undergone surgery for a lower-body injury and will miss eight weeks. Quinn had the procedure on Monday after getting injured in Saturday's contest against San Jose. The 22-year-old has also missed time with an Achilles injury this season, skating in only 17 games and posting five goals with seven assists. Quinn has looked good for Buffalo whilst healthy, but unfortunately, he won't see any action until late March. Alex Tuch could force his way back into the top six without Quinn.
Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn will make his season debut Tuesday night against the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets. The 22-year-old has missed the entire season to this point due to an Achilles injury he suffered during off-season training. The eighth overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft enjoyed a solid rookie season last year, tallying 14 goals and 37 points across 75 games. That campaign came on the heels of a 2021-22 season that saw Quinn tear up the American Hockey League to the tune of 26 goals and 61 points across just 45 contests. He is expected to skate on the third line along with Tyson Jost and Victor Olofsson while dynasty fantasy managers should strongly consider snatching up Quinn on the waiver wire given his star potential moving forward.
Buffalo Sabres right wing Jack Quinn (Achilles) is progressing well in rehab but isn't expected to see game action anytime soon. The talented winger had surgery for an Achilles tendon injury suffered in offseason training near the end of June, and he was slated to be out for 4-6 months. General manager Kevyn Adams has noted that Quinn will still need to put in a lot of work to be ready even if he is cleared to start skating again. Quinn, who turned 22 just a few days ago, had a nice debut campaign in the league last term, recording 37 points (14 goals, 23 assists) in 75 outings.
