Fantasy Football Streaming Picks Week 6

Fantasy Football Streaming

Fantasy Football Streaming.jpgJustin Herbert planned to lead the fantasy football Week 6 streaming picks, but the Chargers have a bye week due to schedule changes. Thus, we’ll look at a few other Week 6 streaming quarterback options full of veterans. The streaming tight end options include a mixture of veterans and intriguing up and coming talents. In Week 6, the Seahawks, Chargers, Saints, and Raiders have a bye week, so you may need to dabble in the streaming quarterback pool. However, a quick note – there isn’t an obvious smash play like Teddy Bridgewater in Week 5. Let’s dive into the fantasy football Week 6 streaming picks.

Streaming Quarterbacks

Kirk Cousins vs. ATL

Continue to start players facing the dreadful Falcons defense. Last week, we recommended Teddy Bridgewater, and he carved up the Falcons. Expect the Vikings to establish the run, but Kirk Cousins should also feast in this juicy matchup. Kirk Cousins threw more than 30 pass attempts for the first time this season last week against the Seahawks. In three out of five weeks, when Cousins threw two touchdowns or more, he ranked top-15 amongst quarterbacks. Through five weeks, the Falcons allow 30.5 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (No. 1). Cousins ranks as the top streaming quarterback option in Week 6. You like that!

Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. NYJ

The bearded one, Ryan Fitzpatrick, carved up the 49ers defense and turned Sunday’s game upside down. He completed 22 of 28 passes for 350 passing yards and three touchdowns. Before this game, the 49ers allowed the 23rd most fantasy points to quarterbacks. However, Fitzpatrick elevated the fantasy points allowed on that defense. The Jets defense allows the 13th most fantasy points to quarterbacks (19.8), Fitzpatrick should smash once again as a streaming quarterback in Week 6.

Andy Dalton vs. ARI

With Dak Prescott suffering a season-ending injury, Andy Dalton steps in to face the Arizona Cardinals. Dalton came in last week and went 9-for-11 with 111 passing yards. He should perform in the back end streaming quarterback group, but the offensive system and skill players elevate Dalton. Through four weeks, the Cardinals ranked middle of the pack with 18.1 points allowed to quarterbacks (No. 23). On the flip side, the Cardinals allowed the 6th most fantasy points to the running backs (24.8), meaning more of an Ezekiel Elliot game. Sometimes when teams lose their starting quarterback, they will adjust and run the ball more, which is a likely outcome since the Cowboys rank 1st with 53 team pass plays per game. Dalton is only a deep league Week 6 streaming pick in hopes that their skill players and receivers help elevate his production.

Streaming Tight Ends

Eric Ebron vs. CLE

Eric Ebron had a juicy matchup in Week 5, but Chase Claypool stole the show with four touchdowns against the Eagles, meaning little leftover for any other Steelers receiver. We go back to the well with Ebron since he faces a Browns defense that allows the 7th most points to tight ends (11.0). Last week, Ebron received six targets for five catches and 43 receiving yards but didn’t fall into the endzone. Fire up Ebron once again as the top Week 6 tight end streaming pick.

Robert Tonyan at TB

The Monday Night Football darling from Week 4, Robert Tonyan faces the Buccaneers defense. Through three games, Tonyan scored five touchdowns with 13 catches and 173 receiving yards. Tonyan won’t sustain the 38.5% touchdown rate (No. 1), but he demonstrated why he deserves more involvement and targets moving forward. The Buccaneers allow the 17th most fantasy points to tight ends (7.4), and Tonyan is another top Week 6 tight end streaming pick.

Jimmy Graham at CAR

Every week we doubt Jimmy Graham(pa), he proves us wrong and catches a touchdown. On Thursday night, Graham earned five targets for three catches, 33 receiving yards, and one touchdown. The Bears continue to use Graham in the red zone, as he ranks first with nine red-zone targets through five weeks. Surprisingly, the Panthers rank 28th with 4.5 fantasy points given up to tight ends, so the matchup isn’t favorable. Similar to other streaming tight end candidates, Graham projects as a touchdown-dependent tight end in Week 6.

Jordan Akins & Darren Fells at TEN

With Jordan Akins ruled out last week, Darren Fells splashed with two catches for 57 receiving yards and one touchdown. Although Fells only received two targets, the touchdown saved his day. I prefer Jordan Akins as the better Texans tight end, but consider streaming Fells if Akins is still unavailable due to injury. The Texans tight end group ranks as a deep league consideration as a Week 6 streaming pick.

Irv Smith Jr. vs. ATL

Last week, we recommended Ian Thomas against the terrible Falcons defense, but Thomas put up a goose egg. The main pieces in the Panthers offense played well in D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and Mike Davis. I hesitate to recommend a player similar to Thomas receiving minimal usage before Week 5 against the Seahawks. In Week 5, Irv Smith Jr. reached season highs with a 72.5% snap share, 31 routes, five targets, four receptions, and 54 receiving yards. The Falcons allowed the most fantasy points to the tight end position at 14.7 points per game. Irv Smith Jr. projects as a deep league, but a risky streaming option in Week 6.

Streaming Defenses

Washington Football Team at NYG

Similar to starting offensive players against the Falcons, we’re at a point where it’s safe to play almost any streaming defense facing the Giants and Daniel Jones. Through five weeks, Daniel Jones only threw two passing touchdowns (both in Week 1 against PIT) and five interceptions. Since Week 1, Jones hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass. In Week 5, he didn’t throw an interception but still turned the ball over with a lost fumble. With a lack of running game and poor quarterback play, fire up the Washington Football Team as the top Week 6 streaming defense option.

New York Giants vs. WAS

With either Kyle Allen or Alex Smith at quarterback, why not fire up the Giants as a Week 6 streaming defense pick. Through five weeks, the Giants defense allowed 232.4 passing yards and 110.6 rushing yards per game. Although the Giants looked terrible, their defense demonstrated better than expected performances.

On the flip side, check out the dreadful Washington Football Team offense. They average 181.6 passing yards and 81.4 rushing yards per game. I love the Alex Smith story as much as the next person, but this offense lacks proven talent outside of Terry McLaurin. Prioritize the Washington Football Team as a streaming defense, but the Giants project as a back end streaming defense in Week 6.

Miami Dolphins vs. NYJ

Although the Dolphins look like a riskier streaming defense, they should provide usable fantasy points as a streaming defense option in Week 6. When facing the Jets, defenses score the 2nd most fantasy points at 10.4 per game. Fire up the Dolphins as a streaming defense, especially with the Jets releasing Le’Veon Bell on Tuesday night. Outside of Jamison Crowder, the Jets have zero offensive weapons.
