After being recalled earlier on Wednesday following Aroldis Chapmans injury and subsequent placement on the 10-day DL, New York Yankees rookie Chance Adams appeared against the Marlins. The 24-year-old entered the game in the seventh inning, surrendering a quick run before giving up two more in the eighth as the Marlins pulled away, eventually winning, 9-3. It was Adams second appearance of the season and hes allowed three runs each time, although this was in relief and only in 1 1/3 innings. Expect to see him sporadically while he remains with the big league roster, as the Yankees have plenty of arms ahead of him in the bullpen.

Chance Adams Recalled By Yankees
In the aftermath of closer Aroldis Chapman being placed on the 10-day disabled list, New York Yankees right-hander Chance Adams has been recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 24-year-old made his major league debut earlier this season, starting in Boston against the Red Sox as a result of J.A. Happs DL stint. Adams was respectable, going five innings and allowing three runs on three hits. Moving forward, with the Yankees rotation intact, Adams figures to be a reliever during his time in the majors. The Arizona native has struggled in Triple-A recently, having surrendered 10 runs in his last two appearances.

Chance Adams To Make MLB Debut Against Red Sox
The New York Yankees plan to call up pitching prospect Chance Adams on Saturday to make his major league debut against the Red Sox. Adams is the team's 13th-ranked prospect, but he's struggled at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this year to the tune of a 3-5 record, 4.50 ERA and 1.32 WHIP. He does have 102 punchouts in 98 innings, though. The upside is there in the long term, but no fantasy owners should be looking to use him this weekend in what will probably just be a spot start to fill J.A. Happ's (illness) spot in the rotation.

Chance Adams Could Start For Yankees Saturday
After New York Yankees starting pitcherCC Sabathia only provided the Yankees with three innings in Thursday nights defeat to the Red Sox, the club would eventually trot out Luis Cessa. The problem with that appearance for Cessa is that he was initially brought back to the majors to start Saturday afternoons game in light of news that J.A. Happ was headed to the DL. Now, Chance Adams seems like the favorite to get the start. The 23-year-old former highly-touted prospect is scheduled to start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, so he would be lined up for the appearance. Over his last 10 starts, Adams has gone 1-3 with a 3.72 ERA, including 7 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball his last time out.

Chance Adams Pitches Well On Wednesday
New York Yankees pitching prospect Chance Adams lowered his ERA to 4.96 for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday. Adams has not seen the results that he saw last year when he combined for a 2.45 ERA between Double-A and Triple-A, but performances like Wednesday remind everyone of his true potential. Adams lasted seven innings Wednesday and allowed three hits, one run, one walk and struck out five. Adams is likely to make his debut in 2018, but he will need to continue to have games like Wednesday to make his case for the big league club.

Yankees Not Fazed By Chance Adams’ Rough Spring
Ranked as one of the top-10 prospects in the New York Yankees farm system, pitcher Chance Adams endured a rough spring training this year. The 23-year-old made three appearances for the club this spring, surrendering six runs in 4 2/3 innings, posting an 0-1 record and an 11.57 ERA along the way. This came on the heels of a 2017 season that saw him go 15-5 with a 2.69 ERA in 27 starts between Double-A and Triple-A. While he had an outside chance of earning the fifth spot in the Yankees rotation this season, he was always behind Jordan Montgomery, Luis Cessa and Domingo German, who posted significantly more impressive numbers this spring. Regardless, the Yankees still envision Adams as a major leaguer moving forward.

Chance Adams Sent To Minor Leagues
The day after suffering another rough outing with the major league team in Spring Training, the New York Yankees sent pitcher Chance Adams to minor league camp. The 23-year-old, one of the Yankees highest-rated prospects, made three appearances this Spring Training, two of them being starts. In his first two appearances, he allowed one run in three innings of work, but his last start caused damage that was beyond repair. Taking on the Baltimore Orioles, Adams surrendered five runs on eight hits in 3 2/3 innings. While he was not going to wind up on the major league roster for Opening Day, his last start this spring left more to be desired.

Chance Adams’ Future In 2018 Could Go Different Ways
New York Yankees pitching prospect Chance Adams is 23 years old and coming off a sensational 2017 season. Splitting time between Double-A and Triple-A, he went 15-5 with a 2.45 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 150 innings. While the question of when he will finally debut with the big league team looms larger, the Yankees may be looking at different ways he could see action in the Bronx. While Adams is projected to be a starter, he could eventually be promoted as a relief pitcher. After all, he has experience as a reliever, having been one in college. Considering the Yankees appear to be set on keeping their current set of starters, Adams best chance to make the team this season could indeed be as a reliever.
