Chicago White Sox reliever Danny Farquhar (brain) has been discharged from Rush University Medical Center on Monday. This is fantastic news. Farquhar suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm on April 20. He will not be medically cleared to pitch for the rest of 2018 so his brain hemorrhage can fully heal. Farquhar does expect to pitch again in the future.

Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Danny Farquhar (brain) has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list. Farquhar suffered a brain hemorrhage during Fridays game and was rushed to the hospital. He is currently listed in critical but stable condition. Our thoughts go out to Farquhar and his family during this tough situation.
The Chicago White Sox avoided arbitration with relief pitcher Danny Farquhar by agreeing to a $1.05 million deal Friday. Farquhar, 30, combined to go 4-2 with a 4.20 ERA over 49 1/3 innings with 45 strikeouts over 52 appearances last season with the Rays and Sox and had a 4.40 ERA in his time with the White Sox. He will provide the team with a left-handed arm in their bullpen.
