Dillon Overton Fantasy Stats

San Diego pitcher Dillon Overton was sent back to Triple-A El Paso less than 24 hours after making his Padres debut. Overton lasted just 4 2/3 innings and took the loss by allowing four runs on nine hits, including two home runs. Overton has put up some decent minor league numbers, but now owns a 9.13 ERA in 47 1/3 MLB innings. Kevin Quackenbush took his place on the roster to add to the bullpen depth, but could quickly be sent back as Trevor Cahill returns on Tuesday.

San Diego pitcher Dillon Overton will make his first start for the Padres on Saturday. He will be at home to face the Dodgers, who have averaged 6.6 runs per game over their last 12 contests. Overton was claimed off waivers from Seattle on June 19 and has just one game for the organization under his belt at Triple-A. In limited time with the Mariners and A's the last two seasons, Overton has been less than impressive. He owns a 9.28 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 42 2/3 Major League innings. To say he is a risky play tonight is an understatement. He will likely be sent down after the start to make room for Trevor Cahill, who is scheduled to come off the DL any day.
