Eric Pardinho Fantasy Stats

The Toronto Blue Jays have signed right-handed pitcher Eric Pardinho to a minor league contract that has an invite to Spring Training. Pardinho spent the 2024 campaign in the Toronto system splitting time between Double and Triple-A. Across 26 2/3 innings of relief at the Double-A level, the 23-year-old held a stellar 1.01 ERA and 0.90 WHIP. He tallied one save and struck out an impressive 37 batters across this stint. He then moved up to Triple-A Buffalo where he held a much higher 5.34 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP across a 28 1/3 innings of work. He struck out only 29 batters and served up 18 free passes. Pardinho will likely compete for a spot on the Opening Day Roster but should be expected to open the 2025 campaign at Triple-A given that he struggled at that level last summer.

Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Eric Pardinho (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery on Tuesday and will miss the entire 2020 season. Pardinho, the team's No. 5 prospect per MLB Pipeline, had a nice 2.15 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 35 strikeouts and 16 walks in seven games and one relief outing (37 2/3 innings) for Low-A Lansing and the Rookie League in 2019. This injury will obviously set the 19-year-old back in his journey to the major leagues, but the right-hander was already at least several years away from a potential debut with Toronto. He has the potential to be a mid-rotation starter for the Blue Jays with a good ability to execute all of his pitches.
