J.B. Shuck Fantasy Stats

Miami Marlins outfielder J.B. Shuck has been designated for assignment on Thursday. This move is in anticipation of Garrett Cooper being activated from the 60-day disabled List. The 31-year-old has hit for a .192 average so far in 2018, and it is unsure if another team will pick Shuck up. The veteran has been in the league since 2011 and owns a career .244 average while playing for five different teams. He can be dropped in any deep leagues he was owned in.

Nearly two months after his last multi-hit performance, Miami Marlins outfielder J.B. Shuck had four hits in the Marlins loss on Thursday against the Giants. Shuck finished 4-for-7 with two doubles and a run scored. While it's nice to see him hitting again, Shuck has no fantasy value at all right now, even in the deepest of NL-only leagues.

Shuck, who was called up from Triple-A New Orleans before Friday's game, went a perfect 4-for-4 and scored two runs in the win. With the Marlins' outfield struggling so badly at the plate, Shuck could see some more playing time going forward.
