Shane Carle Ejected From Sunday's Game In Philly

Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Shane Carle was ejected in the bottom of the seventh inning after hitting outfielder Rhys Hoskins on the left shoulder. The pitch came on the very next at-bat after Bryce Harper tattooed a ball deep into the Philly night, so home-plate umpire Rob Drake tossed him immediately. However, to be fair to Carle, the ball has slipped out of the hand of plenty of pitchers on a chilly night in Philly. Whether it was intentional or not, it doesn't matter. It's unlikely he'll face any kind of disciplinary action for the ejection, as it appeared to be a mistake.

Shane Carle Will Be Available on Friday

Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Shane Carle (finger) is expected to be available against the San Francisco Giants on Friday. He left Tuesday's relief appearance after experiencing numbness in his right index finger and thumb. He threw off the mound on Thursday and is expected to be available on Friday. He's been fantastic for the Braves this season, but is only worth owning in leagues that value holds.

Shane Carle is Considered Day-to-Day

Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Shane Carle (fingers) will throw off the mound on Wednesday and Thursday. He left during Tuesday's game versus the Mets after experiencing numbness in his right index finger and thumb. Those can be symptoms of a serious elbow injury, but the Braves currently have Carle listed as day-to-day. Carle is posting a 0.96 ERA and 17 strikeouts through 18 2/3 innings. He's only worth owning in fantasy leagues that count holds as a category.
