Caleb Houstan Fantasy Stats

According to Michael Scotto of USA Today, free agent guard/forward Caleb Houstan and the Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a one-year deal on Thursday. Houstan landed on the open market after the Magic declined his team option. Last season, the 22-year-old averaged 4.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per contest across 58 games. After the All-Star break, he shot 50.7 percent from beyond the arc. He could grab a regular role at the bottom of the Hawks' rotation, but he will likely not make an impact in fantasy during the upcoming season.

Orlando Magic guard/forward Caleb Houstan (ankle) won't face the Pelicans on Wednesday. He will be sidelined for a second consecutive contest with an ankle injury. Houstan has been used as a starter at times to rest Gary Harris. Harris will be good to go on Wednesday after having one of his best games of the season last time out against Portland with 14 points and four rebounds. Repeating the effort against a much better team will be tough. Houstan will get his next chance to return on Friday versus Charlotte.

Orlando Magic guard/forward Caleb Houstan (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's tilt with the New Orleans Pelicans. The 21-year-old could miss his second consecutive contest due to right ankle soreness. Should Houstan be out of the lineup, forward Jonathan Isaac may see some more time on the court. However, Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner will likely grab the available minutes. Houstan has averaged 11.8 minutes per contest across 56 games.

Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley has been forced into tinkering with his starting unit due to Jalen Suggs' (thigh) absence. Houstan will make his 10th start of the campaign. His previous efforts in the role haven't gone too well, as the second-year player has struggled to hit his shots. He has been limited to 9.0 points on 35.6 percent shooting while collecting 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

Despite Anthony Black (illness) and Markelle Fultz (knee) being available, Houstan will get the starting nod on Sunday. Fantasy managers shouldn't jump to the waiver wire considering Houstan hasn't done much on the court lately. However, Goga Bitadze could be worth a look as a streaming option with starting center Wendell Carter Jr. (knee) sidelined on Sunday.
