Houston Rockets forward DeMarre Carroll (hamstring) was back in action for Sunday's scrimmage against the Memphis Grizzlies. He has been banged up over the last few days, but hamstring issues are easy to aggravate. Carroll played 11 scoreless minutes, but team is obviously going to be careful in a meaningless game. He was able to grab nine rebounds with two assists and zero turnovers during his time on the court. It's unlikely that Carroll has much DFS value given that the Rockets have plenty of depth.
Houston Rockets forward DeMarre Carroll (hamstring) was not able to participate during Friday's scrimmage against the Toronto Raptors. The veteran forward tweaked his hamstring earlier in the week. It's unclear if Carroll will be cleared in time to play in the seeding games. Danuel House, Ben McLemore and Jeff Green will be asked to step up util Carroll is able to return. House is the best fantasy option out of the trio.
San Antonio Spurs forward DeMarre Carroll has agreed to a buyout with the organization. He plans to sign with the Houston Rockets after clearing waivers. He signed a three-year $20.6 million deal with San Antonio over the summer. He's averaging 2.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.0 minutes per contest over 15 games this season. Carroll should see more chances in Houston, but he's not likely going to big a huge part of the rotation. He belongs on the waiver wire in just about every format going forward.
Free agent forward DeMarre Carroll has agreed to a two-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs, leaving the Brooklyn Nets after two seasons. Carroll only started eight of his 67 games last year, but he provided the Nets with a solid wing option off the bench, scoring 11.1 points per game and adding 5.2 rebounds per contest. He shot 34.2 percent from three, but hes shown the ability to shoot in the upper 30s at times in his career and the Spurs will be hoping he can be a solid three-and-d wing off their bench for the next two years. Carroll has likely hit the point in his career where his contributions wont have a significant fantasy impact, though he should put up solid numbers over the course of the year. His game-to-game consistency, though, could be an issue depending on how the Spurs rotation shakes out.
Brooklyn Nets forward DeMarre Carroll (knee) is expected to play in Saturday's game against the Utah Jazz. Carroll hyperextended his knee on Monday and was unable to play in Wednesday's game because of it. It's unclear whether or not Carroll will have a minutes limit on Saturday. Rodions Kurucs will lose some value and minutes with Carroll back in the rotation.
Brooklyn Nets forward DeMarre Carroll (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Carroll hyperextended his knee during Monday's contest, so he could be sidelined for a couple of games. Rodions Kurucs and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson should see more minutes coming their way without Carroll in the rotation.
Brooklyn Nets forward DeMarre Carroll (knee) is feeling better and is expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Carroll missed Monday's game, but it appears this is only going to be a one game absence for him. The Nets have plenty of depth with Caris Levert, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Allen Crabbe all healthy. Carroll doesn't have much upside in fantasy leagues right now.
Brooklyn Nets small/power forward DeMarre Carroll will be forced to the sidelines for Mondays contest versus the Toronto Raptors due to left knee soreness. With Carroll unable to suit up against his former team, the likes of Treveon Graham and Rodions Kurucs are in line for more minutes, although Brooklyn boasts a plethora of wing talent that could step in and contribute. The absence for Carroll is just his second since Nov. 6 and hell next have the chance to suit up Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Brooklyn Nets small/power forward DeMarre Carroll has been tagged as questionable for Mondays contest versus the Toronto Raptors due left knee soreness. Carroll has missed just a single game since early November, but it appears the veteran is slowed in some capacity. Should he miss Mondays game, Rodions Kurucs is a likely candidate to step into a larger role, although Brooklyn has done an excellent job of spreading minutes and shots this season. All 45 games Carroll has appeared in this year have come off the bench, but he has still managed to contribute 11.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest.
Brooklyn Nets forward DeMarre Carroll was everywhere in Wednesday's 135-130 win over Denver, scoring 18 points with 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. He shot 3-for-8 from the field and 10-for-13 from the line. It was a much-needed improvement from Carroll after he failed to hit the 10-point mark in back-to-back games. He won't put up these numbers every night, but the veteran forward has been a decent source for points and rebounds this season. Brooklyn play Chicago next against whom Carroll has averaged 11.3 points per game this season in three outings.
