Dennis Schroder, Enes Freedom Land In Houston At Deadline

Boston Celtics point guard Dennis Schroder and centers Enes Freedom and Bruno Fernando have reportedly been dealt to the Houston Rockets just prior to the trade deadline on Thursday, with the Celtics acquiring center Daniel Theis in exchange. Schroder delivered a solid 49-game stint with Boston, but he became expendable after the team acquired Derrick White from San Antonio. By joining the Rockets, Schroder -- who is set to become an unrestricted free agent again at season's end -- should have sizable offensive upside, but he is likely to be less of a priority than the development of Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green. Freedom and Fernando both face difficult paths to playing time with Christian Wood locking the Rockets center spot down for the foreseeable future.

Enes Freedom Enters COVID-19 Protocols

Boston Celtics center Enes Freedom has become the latest member of his squad to be placed in the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Boston is frightfully thin at the center spot behind Robert Williams III, with Bruno Fernando likely to see a bump in minutes. Freedom's fantasy prospects have been directly tied to Williams' status, as the veteran has logged a career-low 13 minutes per outing, playing a complementary role among the second unit in his return to the Celtics. Freedom will be sidelined indefinitely while in the protocols.

Enes Kanter Slides Into Starting Five

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter will move into the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Jusuf Nurkic (rest) will sit this one out, so Kanter immediately becomes a favorable fantasy option. He recorded a 30-rebound game earlier this month. Kanter should have no problem grabbing boards against the Clippers bigs in this one.

Enes Kanter Pulls Down 17 Rebounds

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter was a beast on the boards in Saturday's win over the Thunder. Kanter pulled down 17 rebounds, along with 12 points scored for his 27th double-double of the season. He had a nice line to go along with it, chipping in four assists, a block, and a steal in 30 minutes. With Jusuf Nurkic still on a minutes limit- Kanter has been able to stay somewhat productive, though it's unclear how long that will last. Up next is a Tuesday matchup against the Clippers, though Kanter will be a risky play given the uncertainty with his playing time.

Enes Kanter Gets Back Into Double-Double Column

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter returned to double-double form on Thursday, finishing a 101-93 win over New Orleans with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. He shot 4-for-5 from the floor and 8-for-10 at the foul line, adding a pair of steals and one assist. Kanter had missed a double-double in back-to-back games ahead of Thursday's outing. He has 23 total double-doubles for the season. The Turkish big man is enjoying a productive campaign, but Jusuf Nurkic (wrist) is set to return in a couple of weeks, and he will eat into Kanter's minutes. Until then, look for more double-double performances by Kanter, who will be out to sadden the Mavericks next.

Enes Kanter Grabs 21 Rebounds

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter finished with eight points, 21 rebounds, and one assist in 33 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Thunder. Kanter has been filling in well recently due to Portland's other centers being injured. The 28-year-old has secured double-digit rebounds in 11 of the last 12 games while also getting a double-double in two of the past four games. He has a favorable matchup on Wednesday against a Pelicans squad that has a well below-average defense.

Enes Kanter Gobbles Up Another Double-Double

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter shot a superb 9-for-11 from the field and notched a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds in Friday's win over Cleveland. He was 3-for-3 at the charity stripe and added one block on the defensive end. Kanter has produced a double-double in nine of his last 10 games. He has always been a productive player but is now earning enough minutes to prove it due to Jusuf Nurkic's (wrist) injury. Kanter could be set for a huge game on Sunday when Portland visits the Mavericks, who give up the fourth-most rebounds in the league to the center position and also have the fifth-worst defensive record against opposing bigs.

Enes Kanter Pulls Down 18 Rebounds

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter scored 17 points on 7-for-14 shooting in Thursday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. In addition, he grabbed 18 rebounds, including seven offensive. Kanter also posted one assist. He'll play the Knicks on Saturday, who allow opponents to grab the 14th-most rebounds in the NBA while shooting the 14th-highest percentage from two-point range. Kanter's lack of impact outside of scoring and rebounding can be frustrating in category leagues, but he's such a strong rebounder that he deserves a lineup spot as long as he remains the team's starting center.

Enes Kanter Posts Double-Double Against Wizards

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter scored 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting in Tuesday's game against the Wizards. In addition, he grabbed 15 rebounds and also posted two assists and two steals. He'll play the Sixers on Thursday, who allow opponents to grab the ninth-fewest rebounds in the NBA while shooting the third-lowest percentage from two-point range. Those things don't seem to add up to good things for Kanter, though his minutes seem fairly secure right now due to depth issues in Portland, so he shouldn't disappoint fantasy managers too much.

Enes Kanter Grabs 22 Rebounds

Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter scored 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting in Monday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the real story of the night for Kanter was his 22 rebounds, seven of which came on the offensive end. Kanter also added three assists and two steals. The Trail Blazers played this one very short-handed, including without Jusuf Nurkic, who missed his fourth consecutive game with a broken wrist and won't be back anytime soon. With Nurk out, Kanter has averaged 10.5 points and 13.3 rebounds over these four games. If you need a rebounding boost and Kanter is still out there on the wire, grab him.
