Rockets
Houston Rockets shooting guard/small forward Garrison Mathews has been bumped into the starting five for Sunday night's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He will be taking Eric Gordon's place in the starting five. Gordon was originally slated to start alongside Jalen Green, Kevin Porter Jr., Jae'Sean Tate and Christian Wood, but the team made this chance just about 10 minutes before tip-off. Mathews has started 21 games this year. Over those starts, he's played 32 minutes per game and averaged 13.3 points and 2.8 three-pointers per game.

Dennis Schroder, Garrison Mathews Questionable For Wednesday
Houston Rockets point/shooting guard Dennis Schroder (ankle) and small forward Garrison Mathews (ankle) have been deemed questionable to play in Wednesday's game against the Lakers with respective ankle sprains. Schroder has missed the past four contests due to the ailment, which has opened up additional minutes for Josh Christopher on the second unit. Mathews sustained his injury early in Monday's outing, leading to an 0-for-5 shooting performance. Eric Gordon, Kevin Porter Jr., and Jalen Green would all stand to have elevated offensive roles if either Schroder or Mathews is held out. Check back prior to tip-off for the final word on the Rockets' backcourt.

Garrison Mathews Will Suit Up For Tuesday’s Game
Houston Rockets small forward Garrison Mathews (ankle) has been cleared to take the floor for Tuesday's contest against the Clippers despite battling a sprained left ankle. Mathews enters play having knocked down multiple triples in four straight outings, a streak that he will likely have a decent chance at extending with Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) ruled out Tuesday. Mathews averaged 11.7 PPG across 10 February contests, with his role among the second unit safe for the time being. He faces a stingy matchup in LA, which ranks in the bottom third of the league in defensive efficiency, made three-point field goals (11.6), and opponents' three-point percentage (33.8%) this season.

Kevin Porter Jr., Garrison Mathews Questionable For Tuesday
Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) and forward Garrison Mathews (ankle) are both listed as questionable ahead of Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Porter sat out the team's most recent game, which was also against the Clippers, on Sunday due to a left ankle sprain. Mathews, meanwhile, suffered a left ankle sprain of his own in Sunday's contest. Mathews still managed to put together a solid outing in the game, going for 17 points, four three-pointers and two steals. In Porter's absence on Sunday, Dennis Schroder jumped into the starting five and wound up two rebounds shy of a triple-double. Schroder will be a strong DFS or streaming option if Porter sits again on Tuesday.

Garrison Mathews Draws First Start Of Season
Houston Rockets shooting guard/small forward Garrison Mathews has been elevated to the starting five for Saturday's contest against Charlotte. Mathews has come off the bench over the past five games and averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 boards per contest while shooting 40 percent overall. With Jalen Green (hamstring) down for at least the next week, Mathews could be worth a short-term stream in larger season-long formats, as he has shown a propensity for shooting the ball well from deep when starting (41 percent last season with the Wizards). Mathews' bottom of the barrel DFS price tag Saturday could earn him some last-minute tourney consideration, especially in light of the game carrying a projected total of 227, the highest on the slate.

Garrison Mathews Rejoins Starting Lineup Monday
Washington Wizards shooting guard Garrison Mathews has taken the spot of Bradley Beal (hamstring) among the starting five for Monday's contest against Atlanta. Mathews has made 22 prior starts this year, with the last having come April 3. Uncharacteristic of bench players that receive larger workloads when starting, Matthews has seen his scoring average almost imperceptibly change, capping his DFS upside. The true beneficiary of Beal's absence stands to be Russell Westbrook, who has been on a recent tear even with his high-scoring teammate healthy.

Garrison Mathews Drains Four Threes
Washington Wizards guard Garrison Mathews scored 14 points on 4-for-13 shooting in Friday's game against the New York Knicks. In addition, he grabbed one rebound and blocked a shot. Mathews was 4-for-10 from three. He'll face the Boston Celtics on Sunday, who allow opponents to shoot the eighth-worst percentage from three and to score the seventh-fewest points per game. Couple that with the fact that Mathews had barely been in the rotation over the past four games and you can see why he shouldn't be on your fantasy radar, despite this strong showing.

Garrison Mathews Draws First Career Start Friday
Washington Wizards shooting guard/small forward Garrison Mathews is among the starting five for the first time in his career Friday against the Knicks. The absence of Bradley Beal (rest) means that Mathews will see sizable DFS upside, especially considering his bare minimum price tag. During a seven-game stretch during January when D.C. was heavily short-handed, Mathews averaged 11.7 PPG and shot 42.1 percent from behind the arc. Having played eight or fewer minutes in each of the team's last four games, Mathews will carry some single-game risk, while not drawing much season-long appeal.

Garrison Mathews Uncertain For Restart
Washington Wizards forward Garrison Mathews is uncertain for the NBA restart, which is not good news for the team. He is still away from the team due to personal reasons, but it is reportedly not because of COVID-19. The Wizards are desperate for shooters during the restart, so hopefully Mathews will return. Otherwise, Ish Smith, Troy Brown, and Shabazz Napier will be asked to do more on offense. Brown is the best fantasy option between the trio and is worth a look in DFS contests.

Garrison Mathews Carried Off Court With Ankle Injury
Washington Wizards shooting guard/small forward Garrison Mathews departed Mondays game versus the Boston Celtics early due to a right ankle sprain that he sustained during the first half. Mathews had to be carried off the floor after stepping on the foot of Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, and he has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Mathews has carved out a role for himself off the bench for Washington, having averaged 15.8 points over his past four games; he did not score in his four minutes prior to his departure. X-rays came back negative and he can safely be considered questionable for Wednesdays game versus the Magic.
