Spurs
San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan (thumb) is set to undergo surgery after suffering an injury during Monday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Sochan suffered a fractured left thumb during the first half of Monday's contest. The Spurs haven't given a timetable for his return, but he's expected to miss an extended period of time after having surgery. Stephon Castle and Julian Champagnie figure to both see extended run with Sochan sidelined. Champagnie finished with 21 points and five rebounds over 38 minutes on Monday. Both are possible streaming options with the Spurs banged up right now. Keldon Johnson could also see more run, but is already playing nearly 30 minutes per game.

Jeremy Sochan Suffers Thumb Injury On Monday
San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan exited Monday's contest against the Clippers with a thumb injury. He was limited to four points and three rebounds in 12 minutes. Stephon Castle replaced Sochan in the starting unit for the second half. The rookie guard recorded 11 points and four rebounds in 20 minutes of action. His fantasy value could get a boost if Sochan is out for Wednesday's meeting with Houston. Keldon Johnson could be another guy to benefit, although he has already seen a good amount of action off the bench.

Jeremy Sochan Working On Improving His Shooting
San Antonio Spurs power forward Jeremy Sochan is working on improving his shooting and has said it's going "well." The 21-year-old is a man of many talents but has struggled to shoot efficiently on the NBA stage. His shooting form looks strange, to say the least, and Sochan even uses a one-handed technique for his free throws. He has been a 44.4 percent career shooter, hitting 28.5 percent of his attempts from behind the arc. Despite the shooting struggles, Sochan has averaged 11.3 points for his career. With improved shooting numbers, his scoring output is bound to rise. Sochan's productivity should also get a boost in 2024-25 with the presence of elite playmaker Chris Paul, who is masterful in finding open looks for his teammates.

Jeremy Sochan Preparing For The Olympics
According to Nick Moyle of The San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Jeremy Sochan (ankle) was cleared to resume basketball activities and is currently training with the Polish national team ahead of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. The 2022 No. 9 overall pick had a decent sophomore season, averaging 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. However, he was limited to 74 games because of ankle surgery. Sochan has several areas that need to be addressed, with his three-point shooting being one of them. But his usage rate could improve if he remains a primary ball-handler, and his involvement in the offense could increase if the Spurs move on from Keldon Johnson this offseason.

Jeremy Sochan Won't Return This Season
San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan (ankle) is officially done for the rest of the season. The organization announced on Monday that Sochan will undergo arthroscopic surgery. This is a tough blow after Sochan suffered the injury during Friday's game. Cedi Osman started in his place on Sunday and figures to continue playing with the starting unit the rest of the way. Sochan fell out of the starting point guard role early in the season but still put together a decent campaign. He'll be worth a look as a late-round option heading into next season.

Jeremy Sochan Absent On Sunday
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Jeremy Sochan (ankle) will miss Sunday's game against the Warriors. Due to an ankle problem, he was limited to only 17 minutes against the Knicks on Friday, and the Injury will keep him out of the lineup on Sunday. Sochan's absence should guarantee extra work for Cedi Osman, with Sandro Mamukelashvili possibly getting a chance to impress as well, particularly with Keldon Johnson (foot) also missing from the selection.

Jeremy Sochan Questionable For Tuesday's Action
San Antonio Spurs guard/forward Jeremy Sochan (groin) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Thunder. The versatile youngster is troubled by right adductor tightness and will sit out his first contest of the season if he can't play on Tuesday night. Sochan's start of the season has been full of mixed performances, but his overall numbers have been solid, with the 20-year-old averaging 10.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.0 steals as the team's new starting point guard. We should see Tre Jones (hamstring) with the starters again on Tuesday if Sochan is out, although he's also carrying a questionable tag ahead of the game. Devonte' Graham is the third point guard on the depth chart, but he's featured just once this season so far, and it's unclear what the team's plans are with him.

Jeremy Sochan Has A Productive Night On Friday
San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan had a productive outing in Friday's win over the Golden State Warriors. The sophomore finished with just seven points, going 2-for-8 from the field. However, he made up for it by amassing 11 rebounds and six assists. The 20-year-old completed his rookie campaign by averaging 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. Sochan will have a tough time being a routine scorer for the Spurs this season, considering the team has Victor Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, and Keldon Johnson. Yet, he's expected to get minutes at the point, which isn't good news for Tre Jones, so there's room for growth in other statistical categories

Jeremy Sochan Confirmed As Starter At Point Guard
San Antonio Spurs power forward Jeremy Sochan will begin the 2023-24 season as the team's starting point guard. The Spurs have tested him out in the role during the preseason, and head coach Gregg Popovich has now confirmed his starting unit for opening night, with Sochan in it along with Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Zach Collins, and, of course, Victor Wembanyama. Sochan proved himself as a very versatile player during his rookie campaign last season, and it will be interesting to see how he does in his new role. In preseason, the 20-year-old has tallied 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 24 minutes per game.

Jeremy Sochan Starts At Point Guard On Friday
San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan started at point guard in Friday's preseason win over Miami. He played well, finishing with 10 points off 4-for-10 shooting from the field, adding six rebounds, three assists, and a steal. The 20-year-old completed his rookie season by averaging 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 53 games. He'll have some competition for minutes throughout the 2023-24 campaign, and his three-point shooting needs to improve. However, Sochan should get more than enough work to remain relevant for fantasy managers, with his usage percentage likely to increase if he continues to spend time at the one.
