Orlando Adds Frank Mason III, Releases Jordan Bone
The Orlando Magic have brought aboard point guard Frank Mason III on a two-day deal, waiving Jordan Bone to make space on the active roster. Mason's addition comes during a recent injury wave that has zapped Orlando of experienced backcourt depth with Markelle Fultz (knee), Aaron Gordon (ankle), and Michael Carter-Williams (foot) all sidelined. How quickly Mason is acclimated to the rotation remains to be seen, but he was able to average 6.9 points and 3.2 assists across just 13.1 minutes per game last season with the Bucks. Cole Anthony retains top PG status for the Magic moving forward, while Bone can remain on the waiver wire in all season-long formats as he searches for a new organization to call home.
