Kyle O'Quinn Notches First Double-Double Of 2019-20
Philadelphia 76ers power forward/center Kyle O'Quinn has been used sparingly thus far this season, but after not having suited up for each of the teams past six games, he was able to collect a double-double during Saturdays win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He logged a season-best 27 minutes without Joel Embiid available, finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds, good for his first double-double since exactly one year to the date. His stat line was also packed with four blocked shots and three assists, although his role in the rotation remains far from a sure thing moving forward.
Kyle O'Quinn Starting For Injured Myles Turner Friday
The Indiana Pacers will be without center Myles Turner (hip) Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans. Turner was questionable coming into the contest, but his injury was not deemed serious. The Pacers opted to go with Kyle O'Quinn in the starting lineup, but Domantas Sabonis will be the more attractive target for DFS purposes.
Indiana Pacers forward/center Kyle O'Quinn (illness) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers normally don't use O'Quinn when everyone is healthy, so it's unlikely this changes too much. Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis could see a few more minutes if O'Quinn sits out.
New York Knicks center Kyle O'Quinn scored 15 points with 16 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in a loss to the Bucks on Saturday night. This is a really nice stat line for anyone that has him right now. He shouldn't be on your waiver wire right now, but you should get him if he is still there. He has come alive since Willy Hernangomez got traded to the Hornets, and this kind of production is sustainable with Joakim Noah and Enes Kanter not playing.
Kyle O'Quinn Pulls Out the Double-Double on Friday
New York Knicks center/power forward Kyle O'Quinn stuffed the stat-sheet on Friday, coming away with another double-double in the win over Miami. O'Quinn drained one triple in the contest, scoring 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting, while pulling down as many rebounds in his 21 minutes. He had a big game all around, as he also contributed two assists, one steal, three blocks and just one turnover in this one. O'Quinn is no stranger to big games, and while they don't happen every night, he is definitely capable of pulling out a big performance.
New York Knicks made his first start since February 8th on Saturday and responded by grabbing 15 rebounds, his most since November. O'Quinn also scored eight points on 3-for-5 shooting. With Enes Kanter (back/wrist) out, O'Quinn took advantage of the Knicks's lack of center depth and played 32 minutes. If Kanter returns on Tuesday against the Magic, O'Quinn will be a definite sit in fantasy lineups. Even if he starts again, his performance this season makes him a risky play.
New York Knicks forward/center Kyle O'Quinn (hip) is probable to play in Saturday's contests against the Detroit Pistons. Head coach Jeff Hornacek said O'Quinn went through practice on Friday and "looked okay." Hornacek considers O'Quinn probable for Saturday's game in New York. O'Quinn has missed the last three games due to a hip issue. Center Enes Kanter (back) has already been ruled out for this contest. O'Quinn would likely draw the start at center and split up the minutes with Luke Kornet.
New York Knicks forward/center Kyle O'Quinn (hip) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. This will be his third straight game sidelined as he continues to deal with a hip issue. Enes Kanter and Luke Kornet will continue to see extended playing time with O'Quinn sidelined. However, O'Quinn normally only sees minutes in the teens, so it won't be a huge boost for either player. Kanter could be worth a look with extended minutes in DFS.
New York Knicks forward/center Kyle O'Quinn (hip) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Washington Wizards. He usually only sees minutes in the teens or low 20s most games. However, he's been productive when he's on the court and is someone worth owning in some fantasy leagues. Enes Kanter and Michael Beasley should see increased playing time with O'Quinn sidelined. The Knicks will likely go with a committee approach to fill the void on Sunday.
New York Knicks center Kyle O'Quinn put up a serviceable line against the 'Wolves on Friday, finishing with a clean 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting. O'Quinn also racked up six boards in the loss and didn't hurt owners anywhere, either, with zero turnovers committed. He has been pretty decent lately to start off 2018. The Knicks may be attempting to showcase the big man for the trade market, so he could continue to be a low-end option in deeper leagues.
