New York Knicks guard Trevor Keels is expected to be waived by the organization. This news comes days after Keels reportedly signed a two-way deal with the team. The Knicks are trying to make room for recently signed forward Dylan Windler. That being said, Keels appears to be the odd man out. It's worth noting that the Knicks do hold Keels' G-League rights, so we could see him back with New York. He played fairly well during his time in the Summer League. Possibly, he continues to work on his game in the G-League. Regardless, Keels isn't expected to have fantasy value next season.
New York Knicks guard Trevor Keels has signed another two-way contract with the organization. The 19-year-old signed a two-way deal with the team two different times last season. He only appeared in three games for the Knicks, but he has a chance to earn a bigger role in camp. Keels averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists in 22.4 minutes in his five appearances in the Summer League. It's unlikely that Keels has legitimate fantasy value this upcoming season.
Shooting guard Trevor Keels has reportedly agreed to a two-way contract with the New York Knicks, per Fred Katz of The Athletic. Keels was taken 42nd overall by the Knicks in the 2022 NBA Draft, and after center Jericho Sims had his contract converted to a main roster deal, New York had the flexibility to bring Keels aboard on a two-way. The No. 19 recruit in the '21 college hoops class, Keels averaged 11.5 points and 3.4 boards across 36 games at Duke last season. The 18-year-old joins former Blue Devils RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish on the Knicks' roster, although the fantasy upside for Keels remains extremely limited as his first pro season is set to get underway.
