Demetric Felton Jr. News
The Cleveland Browns officially activated running back Demetric Felton from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday. He didn't play in the Week 10 blowout loss to the New England Patriots but will return for Sunday's game against the Lions. The 23-year-old has rushed for 16 yards on three attempts while catching 13 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown over nine games this season. Felton will be used as a change-of-pace back and serve as the backup behind Nick Chubb (who was recently activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list) and D'Ernest Johnson. The UCLA product is not on the fantasy radar in Week 11.
Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton remain on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and have been ruled out for Week 10 against the New England Patriots. The Browns were holding out hope that Chubb would be able to play this Sunday, but he wasn't able to deliver two negative tests 24 hours apart. With both Chubb and Felton out and Kareem Hunt (calf) still on Injured Reserve, D'Ernest Johnson will serve as the team's lead running back against the Patriots. John Kelly is also on the COVID-19 list, so the Browns will likely call up recently signed running back Brian Hill to the active roster to back Johnson up on Sunday. With the big volume increase this weekend, Johnson will be in the RB2 picture for Week 10.
Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton have tested positive for COVID-19, according to sources. Both players are vaccinated, so they would need two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to come off the Reserve/COVID-19 list and play in Week 10 against the New England Patriots. If Chubb cannot gain clearance before Sunday's game, D'Ernest Johnson would get another shot at the lead-back role for Cleveland with Kareem Hunt (calf) still currently on Injured Reserve. It's a tough blow for Chubb and his fantasy managers, as he's coming off a 137-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The team's other RB, John Kelly, is also on the COVID-19 list, so Johnson is the only healthy RB on the team's current roster. Johnson would have RB2 upside if Chubb isn't available this weekend.
