NHL DFS Picks for Thursday the 11th
There are many benefits to using an NHL Optimizer when making daily fantasy lineups for DraftKings or Fanduel. FantasyData uses expert fantasy projections which creates an opportunity for spotting value in the cost when making your lineup. DFS sites do not adjust the prices of players of any slate once available, which means that if a player is ruled out from an injury the backup player’s price is not adjusted. Staying on top of all injuries can be a huge task, thankfully FantasyData’s team is making updates to their projections constantly to allow their subscribers an edge in finding the best players. All of our NHL player projections are fed into our NHL optimizer daily to allow the user the best possible DFS NHL Lineup.

Centers
Sebastian Aho $8.600
Aho has been a point-producing machine for the Hurricanes this season. He has recorded 46 points in 37 games this season, but he has been red hot as of late, recording 16 assists and 20 total points in his last 10 games played. He is facing off with the Ducks, who have been one of the worst defensive teams this season. He is a little costly but all signs point to a heavily involved game from the ‘Canes number 1 center.
Tage Thompson $7,200
Tage and the Sabres take on the Senators in today’s game, and the Senators have struggled to defend the center position. Tage has been on a nice pace recently, recording 10 points in his last 10 games. A favorable matchup for the bruising centerman and a pretty affordable price makes him a good option in your DFS lineups.
Morgan Geekie $5,600
Geekie is getting the opportunity to be the number 1 center on the Bruins and is also seeing top powerplay unit ice time. Geekie will pretty much always be on the ice with Pastrnak, and for a price of only $5,600, that sounds like a great opportunity to record some points.
Wingers
Gabriel Vilardi $6,400
Vilardi is playing first-line minutes and the Blackhawks are giving up 3.7 goals per game. Vilardi is playing with great players, Scheifele and Ehlers. He has a great opportunity to thrive against a lesser opponent. Vilardi has scored 14 or more DFS points in 3 of his last 4 games.
Andrei Svechnikov $6,100
I am surprised he is still this cheap to put into DFS lineups. I am taking advantage of his inexpensive cost as long as it is here. Everyone around him salary-wise is averaging 10-11 points and he is averaging 14.5 points through his 25 games played. He just broke a 6 game streak of scoring 20 or more DFS points. He is linemates with Aho and could prove to be a very effective stack in your DFS lineups.
Max Pacioretty $3,600
Pacioretty has the highest ‘Value’ of any player in the optimizer for this large slate of games. Pacioretty has just returned from injury and this will be his 4th game of the season. He is already playing on the second line and seeing some powerplay minutes. He has been an elite playmaker in the past and is so inexpensive because he has only played in 3 games this season. Putting him into your lineup allows you to save money and makes the expensive players much easier to fit into your lineup.

Defensemen
Erik Karlsson $6,200
Karlsson has been very solid recently, scoring double-digit DFS points in 5 of his last 6 games. This should be a very competitive game and shots may be tough to come by, leading to more shots from the point. This could result in seeing eye goals, tip-in assists, and rebound opportunities.
Gustav Forsling $4,700
Forsling is the least costly of the main Panthers defensemen but has been producing the best recently. Forsling has scored double-digit DFS points in 7 of his last 8 games. A tough game with the Kings could result in more shooting opportunities for the defensemen, and Forsling has no issue letting a shot fly from the point.
Goalie
Joey Daccord/ Chris Driedger $8,500
This Kraken vs. Capitals game is the only game that has an over/under of 5.5. In a matchup that doesn’t project to have too many goals, those are the goalies that I want. The Capitals are only averaging 2.4 goals per game and they have some of their key players potentially missing the matchup. Ovechkin, Tom Wilson, and Sandin are all day-to-day and could miss this contest. The Kraken play solid defense too, only giving up 2.8 goals per game. Remember to check closer to game time to see who will get the start.
