Thursday Night Football Prop Bets: Cardinals vs. Seahawks

Free NFL Prop Bets: Cardinals at Seahawks

Week 11 in the NFL season kicks off this week with the Cardinals on the road taking on the Seahawks. Russell Wilson was being talked about as a potential MVP candidate early on, but has struggled a bit as of late and is coming off a rough week against the Rams where he had zero touchdowns and two interceptions with 248 passing yards. Kyler Murray on the other hand is currently the top quarterback in fantasy football and is coming off a huge win against the Bills with his last-second hail mary to DeAndre Hopkins. He finished with three total touchdowns and one interception, including two rushing touchdowns. Both teams are 6-3, and so are the Rams, so the NFC West is an extremely tight race and in this game, both teams really need a win.

The point total for this game right now is at 57.5 total points, meaning most bettors are expecting a shootout. The Seahawks and Cardinals both have been giving up a lot of fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and the Seahawks are the worst in the NFL against opposing wide receivers. Needless to say, I am on board with this being a high-scoring game. I’ll be looking at a few of my favorite prop bets for this Thursday Night Football matchup.

Cardinals at Seahawks Prop Bets

Chase Edmonds Over 23.5 Rushing Yards

First up is the second-string running back Chase Edmonds to total more 24 or more rushing yards. Kenyan Drake is back and healthy and is coming off a game where he saw 16 carries for 100 yards. Edmonds has stepped up when Drake has been on the sideline dealing with his ankle injury, but this rushing yard total is simply too low. Edmonds has 56, 70, and 58 rushing yards in his last three games, and Drake was active in all of them except for Week 9 against the Dolphins. The last time the Cardinals played the Seahawks, which was in Week 7, Drake totaled 34 yards on 14 carries while Edmonds totaled 58 yards on just five carries. Edmonds is involved whether Drake is healthy or not, and in a potentially high-scoring matchup, I’ll take the over on this one.

Russell Wilson to Throw an Interception

One player prop that I expect to hit this week is for Wilson to throw an interception. Wilson currently has the third-most interceptions in the NFL with 10, which is tied with Drew Lock. This is behind just Carson Wentz (12) and Kirk Cousins (11). Wilson threw three interceptions against the Cardinals in Week 7 and has thrown two in each of his last two games. This seems like one of the easiest prop bets for this matchup.

Kyler Murray Over 58.5 Rushing Yards

The next prop I’m looking at is for Murray to post 59 or more rushing yards. The Seahawks currently are giving up the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this year. This may seem like a high number, but Murray has actually has hit this prop in 7 of 9 games so far this year. When the Cardinals played the Seahawks in Week 7, Murray ran the ball a season-high 14 times for 67 yards. He’s also ran for a touchdown in every single game this year except for one and is averaging 9.6 rushing attempts per game. The Seahawks defense has been underwhelming this year, and in a high-scoring game, this prop bet should be another one that hits.

DK Metcalf Over 79.5 Receiving Yards

DK Metcalf.jpgOn FanDuel Sportsbook, DK Metcalf is currently at 79.5 receiving yards, while some other sports betting websites don’t have as many Seahawks player prop bets listed yet. If Tyler Lockett ends up being ruled out, this will more than likely increase prior to the start of the game. Metcalf has beyond proven that he’s more than just a ‘go route’ guy, he’s become one of the best wide receivers in the game. This year, he has four 100+ receiving yard games and three games with 90+ yards. He’s hit this number in all but just two games, but last time the Seahawks played the Cardinals he only had 23 yards. Even if Lockett plays this week, he likely won’t be 100% healthy, meaning Wilson will be leaning on Metcalf even more. I don’t typically like taking the higher prop bets like this one, but in an important divisional game in primetime, I’m betting Metcalf hits the over here.

Carlos Hyde Under 55.5 Rushing Yards

Carlos Hyde is expected to return this week but has been dealing with a hamstring injury. With Carson likely sitting out, Hyde is projected to lead this backfield. Hyde hasn’t played since the Week 7 matchup against Arizona, and in that game, he did total 68 rushing yards on 15 carries. In his four games that he’s been active this year, he’s racked up just 23, 22, 12, and 68 rushing yards. The Cardinals are also one of the tougher teams against opposing running backs this year. Seattle did recently sign Alex Collins and he’s been active in two games this year, including last week against the Rams where he saw 11 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown. Between Hyde, Collins, and rookie DeeJay Dallas, I don’t expect Hyde to hit this prop bet. Between the tough matchup, the likelihood of splitting carriers, and the tough matchup, I’ll be taking the under here.
