Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

Did Week 9 leave your team looking more like a pretender than a contender? No need to panic, as your squad may simply be in need of a quick fix through some waiver wire tinkering. And no, that “tinkering” does not involve spending FAAB like a mad person in order to acquire Antonio Brown or Dez Bryant

While you’re looking through this piece, feel free to check out the rest of the tools that we here at Fantasy Data have made accessible to you, in order to assure your success in fantasy football every week. Without these, you’re truly limiting the ceiling of your fantasy teams.

Quick Links

QB Waiver Wire Pickups

Nick Foles

Chicago Bears | Rostered in 13.6% of ESPN leagues

Foles played one of his best games of the season against the Titans, topping his season-high in fantasy points on the strength of a two-touchdown, 335 passing yardage performance. Foles is an excellent streaming option for Week 10, as he and the Bears face a Vikings defense that has been consistently shredded all season long.

Daniel Jones

New York Giants | Rostered in 18.8% of ESPN leagues

Say what you will about Danny Dimes, but the former Duke standout has managed to score double-digit fantasy points in four straight contests following a stretch of the same length during which he never broke that threshold. Facing an Eagles defense that allowed Jones’ highest fantasy output of the season, the turnover-prone gunslinger is a solid streamer this week.

RB Waiver Wire Pickups

Duke Johnson

Houston Texans | Rostered in 16.4% of ESPN leagues

Johnson took on a much larger role in Houston’s victory over the Jaguars following David Johnson’s exit due to a concussion. An excellent pass-catching back who can occasionally struggle rushing between the tackles, Johnson has a nice upside in PPR until his teammate returns.

DeeJay Dallas

Seattle Seahawks | Rostered in 61% of ESPN leagues

Dallas has seen his workload increase dramatically in the last couple of games, serving as the primary pass-catching back for the Seahawks offense in the stead of Chris Carson. While Carson and veteran Carlos Hyde may soon be back to take away touches from the rookie, Dallas has done enough to demonstrate his value as a passing down weapon for Seattle. I expect Dallas to have some solid flex upside throughout the fantasy football playoffs, as the Seahawks will look to keep Carson fresh for the NFL playoffs down the stretch.

Tyler Ervin

Green Bay Packers | Rostered in 9.3% of ESPN leagues

Ervin looked really good in an expanded role on Thursday night, totaling 72 yards from scrimmage on a night where the Packers were without Jamaal Williams and A.J Dillon. With Green Bay’s lack of pass-catchers outside of Davante Adams, Ervin could continue to get some run as a hybrid RB/WR. Ervin’s ability to get out in space and pick up yards after the catch is a quality that should be particularly alluring to Matt LaFleur and the rest of the Packers coaching staff.

Wayne Gallman

New York Giants | Rostered in 20% of ESPN leagues

Gallman has established himself as the back to own in the Giants backfield sans Saquon Barkley. With at least 10 touches and a touchdown in three games following Devonta Freeman’s ankle injury, Gallman is a high floor, low ceiling back to roster moving forward.

WR Waiver Wire Pickups

Richie James

San Francisco 49ers | Rostered in 0.1% of ESPN leagues

James caught his first nine passes of the season for 184 yards and a touchdown during Thursday’s blowout loss to Green Bay. Don’t expect too many more of these performances, as Brandon Aiyuk, Kendrick Bourne, and Deebo Samuel will soon return to the 49ers starting lineup. That being said, James’ performance will certainly open up a larger role for him in the 49ers offense moving forward.

Anthony Miller

Chicago Bears | Rostered in 13.4% of ESPN leagues

A huge disappointment for many fantasy managers who saw him as “the next Chris Godwin”, Miller will have a great chance to shred a Vikings secondary that has been terrible against slot receivers. Miller is a nice streaming option for teams in need of a desperation flex.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Green Bay Packers | Rostered in 10.1% of ESPN leagues

Two catches, two touchdowns. Now that’s efficiency. Following a strong performance on TNF, MVS may finally be establishing the necessary confidence to emerge as a true No. 2 wideout alongside Davante Adams.

Olamide Zaccheus

Atlanta Falcons | Rostered in 0.3% of ESPN leagues

Zaccheus played well in place of Calvin Ridley, hauling in four passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. If he can continue to ride this momentum following Atlanta’s bye week, Zaccheus could overtake Russell Gage as the No. 3 receiver on the Falcons depth chart.

Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis Colts | Rostered in 4.4% of ESPN leagues

A high draft capital wideout on a team with no clear No. 1 receiver, Pittman has the potential to emerge as Indy’s WR1 in the second half of the season.

TE Waiver Wire Pickups

Irv Smith Jr.

Minnesota Vikings | Rostered in 3.8% of ESPN leagues

Smith caught a pair of touchdowns on Sunday and appears well on his way towards a larger role in Minnesota’s passing attack. Grab him now while he’s still relatively cheap!
