DraftKings DFS Showdown
TNF is back at the MetLife Stadium for a second consecutive week, featuring two teams from the NFC East: the Cowboys (1-2) and the Giants (1-2). Both teams are coming off very different starts to the season, with the Cowboy’s impressive Week 1 win over the Browns followed up with two tough losses. The Giants lost their opening two but recorded their first win over Cleveland on the road in Week 3. Below are my best plays for Week 4 of TNF, with a win important for both teams at this early season stage.
Win With FantasyData
Before jumping into this, I want to state the obvious: FantasyData’s DFS tools make life simple. Sure, you can have success without projections, advanced metrics, or an optimizer, but often, these tools will help you find a golden nugget that will put you on a winning path. Finding interesting statistics that make you shift gears to build a lineup using an under-the-radar QB/WR combo or sleeper RB/DEF combo is how to win the game.

Captain
WR CeeDee Lamb ($17,700)
It may not be the start we expected for Cowboys’ wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, but he’s teetering on having an explosive game. He has yet to pass 100 receiving yards in any of these three games, but he is the top ten receiver in total receiving yards on the season. He averages 14.1 fantasy points per game, with only one touchdown, coming against New Orleans. In the home game last season, he had 11 receptions for 151 receiving yards and a touchdown. This could be the week that Lamb breaks off a big fantasy performance.
QB Dak Prescott ($15,600)
CeeDee Lamb isn’t the only player who loves facing the Giants. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for over 400 yards last season, although that was in the home game. In his previous two visits to the MetLife Stadium to face the Giants, he has not thrown past 217 passing yards. Despite losing the last two games, Dak has played relativity well the last two games, combining for 672 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and a rushing score. The Giants have been tight against the pass but did allow rookie Jayden Daniels 226 passing yards. If Dak is on it, he can put up good fantasy numbers.
RB Devin Singletary ($12,300)
The Giants’ running back, Devin Singletary, looks like a good play as both captain and in the FLEX position. The Dallas defense is ranked No. 32 against the run, allowing 185.7 rushing yards per game and eight rushing touchdowns; Baltimore played a big part in Week 3, the ground game combining for 274 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Singletary was close to a 100-yard rushing game in Week 2 but is picking up little bits of receiving work. If the Cowboys continue to struggle against the run, Singletary could surpass 100 rushing yards in this game with him working as the workhorse at running back.
FLEX
WR Malik Nabers ($10,800)
Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is starting to set the league alight despite being on a struggling team. After his Week 2 100 receiving-yard season against Washington, he followed that up against the Browns with 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns. After three games, Nabers is the clear No. 1 receiver on the roster, targeted 37 times, with the next best Wan’Dale Robinson with 24. Nabers is likely a chalky play in this game, but it can be played if you get different from other plays.
TE Jake Ferguson ($7,000)
After a quiet Week 1 game, then missing Week 2 (MCL sprain), tight end Jake Ferguson had six receptions for 95 receiving yards against the Ravens. Coming off a good 2023 season, Ferguson is a favorite target for quarterback Dak Prescott, especially when the Cowboys are chasing the game. That could be the case again tonight, with the secondary playing well through three weeks for the Giants. If CeeDee Lamb is kept quiet, expect Ferguson to see more targets.
WR Brandin Cooks ($6,800)
Behind CeeDee Lamb, wide receivers Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert have shared the targets equally. Both wide receivers are good plays, but Cooks has had success against the Giants previously. In the game between the two at the AT&T Stadium last season, Cooks had 137 rececing yards and one touchdown. Dallas have struggled to run the ball in the first three weeks of the season, so the passing game could be the go to option again, especilly if the team get behind as they have done the last two games.
K Brandon Aubrey ($5,000)
In the first three, Dallas kicker Brandon Aubrey averages 16.3 fantasy points per game. The ‘Giants’ defense has been good in the red zone, allowing touchdowns on just 33.33% of visits. The Cowboys are scoring on 50% of their visits from the red zone. Aubrey has a strong leg, making five 50+ field goals this season, totaling ten from ten. Aubrey is a strong play if you believe the Cowboys will struggle to move the ball consistently in the Giants’ half of the field.
RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. ($2,800)
It’s a good tournament play. Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has been quiet in the first three weeks but saw a slight uptick in production in the Week 3 win over Cleveland. He had five carries and two receptions, double the output he saw in the first two games. If the Giants lean more on the ground game against a weak Cowboys run defense, Tracy may come into play much more than we have seen.
