Fantasy Football Buy Low Sell High
Depending on your league’s trade deadline, the time is nigh. Massive moves in the NFL have shaken a lot of teams up, but there are a lot of players flying under the radar that should garner your attention. Some players should be sold immediately to get you the best value, allowing your team to surge into the playoffs. With only five games left, you should be looking to maximize matchups, remove the gambles/stashes off your bench, and start loading up on handcuffs. Fail to plan, plan to fail. Look at defensive matchups that you stash on your bench during the playoffs. Get ahead of the curve right now if you can.

Buy Low
Evan Engram, TE – JAX
Engram has not seen over 45 yards in his last three games. What he has seen is an average of 7 targets per game. In Week 6, his first game back, he went for 102 yards. During this span, he has only found the endzone once. Being fully healthy, there is a lot of upside with this player, and not only that but consistency. I would rather have a guy on my team who guarantees me 10 points a week with a ceiling that can smash at the TE position. The last ripple in the water for the Jags is Kirk is out for the season. The red zone opportunities will come with a big-bodied player like Engram.
Rico Dowdle, RB – DAL
Most people will see the Cowboys as a team washed up on the shore with no life left. Amidst the injury news to Dak and the disciplinary actions towards Elliot, you have to become a scavenger. Dalvin Cook looks like a truck with no gas in the tank. Dowdle had a great game against the Falcons, making the most of his opportunities and turning them into 107 yards and a TD. Lamb is hurt, and people may overlook the idea of fantasy player value and see a dysfunctional team.
Mike Williams, WR – PIT
Mike Williams is going to have a second-half-season resurgence. The Steelers were a team he wanted to go to in the offseason, but New York was too enticing. It’s obvious the Steelers need help at WR, and Wilson, for all the flack he receives, dominates in the deep ball game. This is where Williams and he will get on the same page quickly. The endzone area needs work, and this is an immediate upgrade. I wouldn’t hold my breath for 120-yard receiving days, but 50+ with a TD+ is well within reason every week going forward.
Sell High
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB – NE
Stevenson has been fortunate enough to fall into the endzone four times in the last two games. His efficiency is brutal right now, and hopefully, the team you are selling him to only sees the fantasy numbers and not his 2.2 yards per carry. Maye has made this team much better in the passing department, which is starting to leak into Gibson’s hands, taking more away from Stevenson.
Tyler Lockett, WR – SEA
With DK returning and JSN becoming a more significant part of this offense, package Lockett and dust him to somebody else. Right now, he is coming off a 63-yard and a TD performance, and this is the best time to hit the big red button. During the fantasy playoffs, things will not get any easier for him facing the Packers, Vikings, and Bears.
Sam LaPorta, TE – DET
Zach Ertz, Isaiah Likely, Mike Gesicki, and Hunter Henry are all better than LaPorta this season. There is a saying in sales: you sell the sizzle, not the steak. You are selling the idea of a currency that was a 2nd round pick in this year’s draft that is part of an explosive offense. He has been a pedestrian on this offense, averaging 2.75 receptions and 37.5 receiving yards per game. He has only found the endzone twice this season. Let him be somebody else’s headache, and get what your squad needs right now.
