Aaron Palensky Raking At High-A
New York Yankees outfield prospect Aaron Palensky, after underperforming at Double-A in 2021, spent all of 2022 with the Yankees' High-A affiliate in Hudson Valley. He also opened 2023 with the Renegades, but his production in April and May suggests that he could return to Double-A soon. Palensky was never viewed as a huge power hitter, but it may be time to rethink that as he averages 0.375 homers per game this year. He has also continued to show a solid approach at the plate, drawing walks at a high rate. Defensively, he lacks the speed needed for center field and will likely wind up in left field long-term. This past week, Palensky went 13-for-21 with two homers, seven RBI, three walks, and six strikeouts. He also stole three bases, bringing him to 10 on the year and breaking his previous single-season best. The outfielder continues to produce tremendous results this year and should be monitored by fantasy managers in dynasty formats.
