Seattle Mariners infielder/outfielder Alen Hanson signs a minor league deal with the organization. The 28-year-old signed with Seattle last year, but didn't play due to the canceled season. He wasn't hitting well in the minors during the 2019 campaign and has struggled during his time at the MLB level. Fantasy managers can go ahead and ignore this move. Hanson is basically depth for the Mariners, but shouldn't have a significant role at any point.
San Francisco Giants infielder/outfielder Alen Hanson will bat second and play left field versus righty Anthony DeSclafani on Friday. Hanson normally bats sixth or lower in the order, but will move up to second for this contest. He's hitting .300/.325/.531 with six home runs and 29 RBI off right-handed pitching this season, so that could be part of the reason he's batting higher for this contest. DeSclafani has been mediocre at best this season, so Hanson is worth looking at for DFS contests on Friday.
San Francisco Giants second baseman and outfielder Alen Hanson homered for his only hit in Thursday's contest against the Cardinals. Hanson has cooled off since returning from the disabled list, but the Giants seem committed to getting his bat going again as he continues to lead off. He is only batting .214 with a .631 OPS over the past two weeks, but his four percent ownership is probably still too low for deeper leagues, especially with him leading off most days. Hanson has a .326/.362/.652 slash line against right-handed pitching so far this season, though, so that makes him a decent play in daily leagues and DFS leagues when the Giants face a bad right-handed pitcher.
San Francisco Giants outfielder and second baseman Alen Hanson is getting the start in left field and leading off in Tuesday's matchup against the Rockies. Hanson had been tearing the cover off the baseball before going on the disabled list and since returning a month ago has a slash line of .257/.284/.471. The Giants undoubtedly want to get Hanson back on track and are having him lead off at Coors Field against the lowly Antonio Senzatela to help out with that. As of now, Hanson probably deserves to be owned in more than five percent of leagues and could make for a sneaky DFS start Tuesday.
San Francisco Giants second baseman and outfielder Alen Hanson will bat leadoff and play left field in Thursday's contest against the Rockies. Hanson immediately becomes an attractive DFS play as the switch-hitter faces Jon Gray. Hanson is hitting .333 with five homers and 17 RBI against righties so far this year. Hanson's bat has forced manager Bruce Bochy to find a spot for him in the lineup, and on Thursday Hanson will make his fifth start in the outfield for the Giants. Hanson has been a nice find for the injury-ridden Giants and can contribute to a DFS lineup with his spot in the lineup and his price.
San Francisco Giants infielder Alen Hanson(knee) will be in Thursdays lineup. Hanson left Wednesdays game after taking a foul ball off of his knee. Hanson will be in left field and is hitting first Thursday. Hanson is worth a look in NL-only leagues with Evan Longoria (hand) sidelined.
Updating a previous report, San Francisco Giants infielder Alen Hanson left Wednesdays contest with a left knee contusion. Hanson fouled a ball off of his knee and was in significant pain. He was replaced by infielder Kelby Tomlinson. More should be known about how long Hanson will be out on Thursday.
San Francisco Giants infielder Alen Hanson left Wednesdays contest early after he fouled a ball off his leg. Infielder Kelby Tomlinson came in to finish the at-bat and stayed in the game. Tomlinson can be avoided in all formats. More should be know on Hansons status following Wednesdays game.
San Francisco Giants second baseman Alen Hanson is in the lineup batting second for Friday's game against the Dodgers. With the Giants starting to get healthy again, Hanson's playing time has diminished but he has still produced when given the opportunity. Hanson is batting .338 with a 1.067 OPS on the year with some speed and if he continues to hit, he may just find himself taking over the second base position from the struggling Joe Panik. Hanson is only 8% owned and with his numbers and skill set, is worth a speculative add.
San Francisco Giants second baseman Alen Hanson was activated from the disabled list Saturday. Hanson had been sidelined since May 13 with a hamstring injury. He could be avoided for now as Joe Panik returned Friday and will be the teams everyday second baseman.
