Mets Sign Cody Martin To Minor League Deal
The New York Mets have signed free-agent relief pitcher Cody Martin to a minor league deal, the team announced on Monday. Martin last appeared in the Major Leagues in 2017 for the Seattle Mariners, only pitching two innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits while walking two without a strikeout. His career ERA is 6.33. Since then, Martin has been pitching for the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. It goes without saying theres absolutely no fantasy relevance here, but sadly enough, there could be some real baseball implications considering how quickly the Mets are burning through their bullpen.
