The Pittsburgh Pirates optioned reliever Dovydas Neverauskas to Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday to make room for Enny Romero, who the team claimed off of waivers from the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Neverauskas has had a rough go of it in 2018, allowing a 10.80 ERA in 6 2/3 innings while walking more hitters (three) than he's struck out (two). The Lithuanian has a promising arm with a fastball that touches 98 mph, but he has struggled to miss bats, garnering just a 6.7 swinging-strike percentage.
