The 24-year-old has been a super utility man this season as he's played everywhere on the field except catcher and pitcher, hitting .241 with three homers, 15 runs, 15 RBI, and five steals for Cleveland this season as he tries to carve out an everyday role. He has been swinging a hot bat of late, hitting .421 with two homers over his past seven contests.
Gabriel Arias Goes On Injured List With Fractured Wrist
The Cleveland Guardians placed third baseman Gabriel Arias (wrist) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a fractured right wrist and recalled shortstop Brayan Rocchio from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move. Arias injured his wrist in Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds and will now miss the rest of the 2023 regular season. The 23-year-old played in his first full MLB season this year and finished with a .210/.275/.352 slash line, 10 home runs, 15 doubles, 26 RBI, three stolen bases and 36 runs scored in 345 trips to the plate and 122 games. Arias should be fully healed in time for spring training in 2024.

San Diego Padres catcher Luis Campusano-Bracero and shortstop Gabriel Arias were two key prospects sent to minor league camp over the weekend. The clubs No. 4 and 8 prospects, respectively, Campusano and Arias werent expected to compete for a roster spot after getting a few weeks of work in big league camp. The 21-year-old Campusano recorded a knock in four spring at-bats and will likely spend most of 2020 in Double-A after posting a robust 148 wRC+ with 15 homers last year in High-A. Hell probably be joined by the 20-year-old Arias who turned heads in spring training going 4-for-13 (.308 average) while flashing excellent defense. Both players are attractive dynasty pieces with a chance to debut in 2021. Other key cuts on Sunday were infielders Owen Miller, Hudson Potts, Esteban Quiroz and outfielder Edward Olivares.

However, he likely still has a couple years in the minors ahead of him, and shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. will be manning the 6 for the foreseeable future. But if Arias continues his rapid ascent, hell be tough for the Padres and dynasty managers to ignore.
