Jake Noll Optioned, Howie Kendrick to be Activated

The Washington Nationals sent infielder Jake Noll to Triple-A Fresno after Wednesday's game in preparation to activate second baseman and outfielder Howie Kendrick(hamstring) from the injured list for Thursday's game at the New York Mets. Noll is coming off a walk-off base on balls in Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies, but it was only his third plate appearance of the season through five games. Kendrick does not offer anything in fantasy right now, but that could change if he gains playing time at the expense of second baseman Brian Dozier, who is hitting just .111/.158/.111 so far this season.

Jake Noll Gets First Walk-Off in Third Career Plate Appearance

Washington Nationals infielder Jake Noll drew a base on balls to drive in Anthony Rendon as the winning run against David Robertson and the Philadelphia Phillies to win Wednesday's game 9-8. It's Noll's first career walk, time on base, RBI and walk-off. A fun and notable moment for the rookie, but Noll is the last player off of Washington's bench and lacks fantasy relevance.

Jake Noll Makes Nationals Roster

Washington Nationals infielder Jake Noll has made the team's Opening Day 25-man roster out of nowhere. He'll be part of a five-man bench that includes Kurt Suzuki, Andrew Stevenson, Wilmer Difo and Matt Adams. Noll is a 25-year-old that hasn't had a single at-bat above Double-A ball, but he'll provide the Nats with infield flexibility at second, third and first base. He made the club by hitting .320/.393/.520 with two home runs and 10 RBI in 26 spring games. Noll is unlikely to make a fantasy impact in 2019.
