Miami Marlins relief pitcher Javy Guerra was called up from Triple-A New Orleans on Monday to take the spot of Drew Rucinski, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list. Guerra has pitched 16 2/3 scoreless innings with the Baby Cakes while posting a sterling 24:3 K:BB ratio in that time. Look for him to hopefully continue providing solid ratios while pitching in the middle of the Marlins bullpen, but he remains off fantasy owners' radar at this time.
The Miami Marlins have recalled relief pitcher Javy Guerra from Triple-A. Caleb Smith was moved to the 60-day DL in a corresponding move. Guerra appeared in 17 games with the Marlins in 2017, pitching to a 3.00 ERA and a 12/7 K/BB ratio. He'll function in middle relief and hold no fantasy value.
