Joey Curletta Optioned To Triple-A Tacoma
Seattle Mariners first baseman Joey Curletta (oblique) was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday. He started the spring slowed by an oblique injury and he was unable to play in a Cactus League spring game with the big club. While this sounds like bad news for his immediate fantasy value, file the name away in AL-only fantasy play and keeper formats. He was the Texas League player of the year in 2018, hitting .282 with 24 doubles, 23 homers and 94 RBI while managing a .482 slugging percentage and .865 OPS. If he excels at Tacoma, he could be up with the big club with an injury at the big-league level.
