Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Kevin Padlo was sent to Triple-A on Tuesday after the team's game against the Baltimore Orioles. The 24-year-old Padlo made 14 plate appearances in his first trip to the Majors. He went just 1-for-12 with eight strikeouts. The recent return of Ji-Man Choi gave the Rays extra corner infield depth, resulting in Padlo's demotion. Padlo has shown some promise in the Minors. He has four home runs over 27 plate appearances at Triple-A this year. If he keeps delivering that power, we could see him up again later this year.
