Lisalverto Bonilla Fantasy Stats

The Cincinnati Reds activated catcher Devin Mesoraco from the paternity list on Thursday. Mesoraco hasn't played for the Reds since this past Saturday after welcoming a baby boy into the world on Sunday. The team sent pitcher Lisalverto Bonilla to the disabled list to make room for Mesoraco on the active roster. Mesoraco is not in the team's starting lineup on Thursday, giving way to Tucker Barnhart. Mesoraco is batting .219 with six homers and 14 RBI in 158 plate appearances this season.

He allowed three runs while striking out five and walking two in the ballgame. His offense only mustered one run, however, so Bonilla was charged with the loss in the game. Bonilla has kicked around the minor leagues for a few years now with Cincinnati signing him as minor league free agent this past offseason. Bonilla has flashed the ability to miss bats in the upper levels of the minors, making him worth keeping an eye on in case he shows he can hang in the big leagues. If he strings together a few more solid starts, he could serve as a streaming option in the right matchups.
