Matt Garza To Have Shoulder Surgery
Free-agent starting pitcher Matt Garza (shoulder) will undergo shoulder surgery, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. This surgery on a torn right labrum stems from a June 3rd collision with former Brewers teammate Jesus Aguilar. While the injury sent Garza to the disabled list, it did not end his 2017 season, which he finished with a 4.94 ERA. His future is questionable after major shoulder surgery that could make the 34-year-old miss the entire 2018 season.
