White Sox
The Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitching prospect Nick Nastrini from Triple-A Charlotte to start in Thursday's series finale against the Texas Rangers at Guaranteed Rate Field. The White Sox optioned left-hander Sammy Peralta to Charlotte in a corresponding move. Nastrini, a former fourth-round pick in 2021 out of UCLA, will be making just his seventh big-league start in his rookie season and should be avoided as a fantasy streamer against the visiting Rangers. In his first six big-league starts in 2024, Nastrini has gone 0-5 with an 8.39 ERA, a 1.99 WHIP, 19 strikeouts and 25 walks in 24 2/3 innings pitched. The club's No. 18 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, will be making his first appearance in the majors since June 8. The 24-year-old had a 4.89 ERA and 1.63 WHIP with 54 K's and 35 walks in 49 2/3 innings at Charlotte since being sent down.

Nick Nastrini Set To Start On Wednesday
The Chicago White Sox are planning to recall pitching prospect Nick Nastrini from Triple-A Charlotte in order to join their major-league starting rotation, according to sources. Nastrini could start as soon as Wednesday in Toronto against the Blue Jays. The 24-year-old is the team's No. 8 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. He looked overmatched in his first two big-league starts last month, picking up two losses, allowing eight runs (seven earned), walking seven and striking out eight in eight total innings against the Kansas City Royals and Philadelphia Phillies. His third MLB start on Wednesday will be a better matchup against the struggling Jays offense, but the rookie hurler will still have plenty of risk as a deep-league streaming option. If Nastrini shows improvement, perhaps the White Sox will consider giving him another turn through the rotation with Michael Soroka now in the bullpen.

Nick Nastrini Nearing Major-League Return
Chicago White Sox starting pitching prospect Nick Nastrini threw 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball on Thursday and is on the verge of returning to the major leagues. Nastrini made his major-league debut earlier in April but logged only two starts before being sent down. Since then, the 24-year-old has been pitching very well with Triple-A and could be back up with the major-league team very soon. In May, he has a 1.42 ERA and 0.79 WHIP through 12 2/3 innings. The White Sox do not have strong options in their rotation after Garrett Crochet and Erick Fedde, which makes Nastrini a worthy stash in deeper AL-only formats.

Nick Nastrini To Remain In Rotation
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Nick Nastrini will stick in the rotation for at least one more start. The organization has announced that Nastrini will make the start against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday. The right-hander has earned the chance to stay in the rotation after a solid MLB debut on Monday. The 24-year-old allowed two runs over five innings of work against the Kansas City Royals. He's not a recommended fantasy option against the strong Phillies lineup.

Nick Nastrini Solid In Debut
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Nick Nastrini performed well in his big-league debut versus the Kansas City Royals on Monday. Nastrini suffered the loss, but didn't look overmatched in his first outing. The right-hander went five innings and allowed three hits, two runs, two walks and five strikeouts. Nastrini should be expected to remain in the rotation with the White Sox season going nowhere and it being wise to develop young talent, but nothing is guaranteed. Moving forward, Nastrini now is nothing more than a streamer in favorable matchups, but he has the upside to help in deeper leagues, if he continues to improve. The right-hander is in line to face a tough Philadelphia Phillies lineup this weekend and should be avoided.

Nick Nastrini Set For MLB Debut On Monday
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher prospect Nick Nastrini will make his MLB debut on Monday against the Kansas City Royals. Nastrini pitched well in Spring Training and almost made the team straight out of camp, but was sent to the minors to give him a few appearances in Triple-A. He had a tough time there, though, allowing seven runs (six earned) in seven innings, although he did strike out 13. The 24-year-old will try and put an end to the White Sox four-game losing streak against the red-hot Royals. He doesn't need to be picked up outside of the deepest of leagues, and he shouldn't be considered as a viable streamer given the matchup.

Nick Nastrini Battling An Illness
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Nick Nastrini's (illness) stuff was down last night for Triple-A Charlotte, but general manager Chris Getz said it's understandable since he was dealing with an illness that put him down for a couple days at the end of spring training. Nastrini is now on the mend and is starting to feel good again. The 24-year-old, who is listed as the team's No. 8 prospect on MLB Pipeline, allowed four runs on seven hits while walking two over just two innings in his first start of the year for Charlotte on Wednesday. Because he's still building back up, it's unlikely that Nastrini will come up to Chicago to make the start on Monday versus the Cleveland Guardians. He's a candidate to make his big-league debut at some point in 2024, even though the White Sox recently reunited with Mike Clevinger.

Nick Nastrini Unlikely To Be Called Up Next Week
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Nick Nastrini is unlikely to be called up heading into next week's series against the Cleveland Guardians. The White Sox need a fifth starter for their rotation, but manager Pedro Grifol said that Nastrini is currently dealing with an illness. The 24-year-old had a decent spring and is currently one of the team's top pitching prospects. It appears as though Nastrini's major-league debut will have to wait a little longer, at which point he will be someone to keep an eye on in deeper leagues.

Nick Nastrini Has Good Shot At Starting Role
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Nick Nastrini appears to have the inside track to be the fifth starter to start the season after a solid Spring Training. Nastrini did get knocked around on Saturday, giving up seven runs (five earned) on five hits and five walks over 3 innings. Otherwise, though, Nastrini has been excellent this spring and is the best the White Sox have to offer. He doesn't need to be added in fantasy yet, but keep an eye on him in deeper leagues to see if he can continue his spring success.

Nick Nastrini Excels Again Sunday
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher prospect Nick Nastrini continued his excellent spring on Sunday, throwing four shutout innings against the Oakland Athletics. Nastrini allowed three hits and two walks while striking out a pair. After the scoreless outing, the 24-year-old has a 0.82 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, and 11 strikeouts over 11 IP this spring. He continues to push for a rotation spot on a thin White Sox team that just traded Dylan Cease. He's a decent deep-league sleeper who isn't even being drafted in most leagues.
