Baltimore Orioles outfielder Ryan McKenna played a huge role in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Nationals. He went 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run (the first of his career), and a strikeout. He also made a great diving catch in the sun and scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. While it was a nice day for him, McKenna has provided very little fantasy value, slashing just .183/.280/.256 with five RBI in 94 plate appearances.

The Baltimore Orioles optioned outfielder Ryan McKenna to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, per BaltimoreBaseball.com's Rich Dubroff. The move was made to clear a roster spot for Anthony Santander (ankle), who is expected to be activated off of the injured list Friday after recovering from a left ankle sprain. The 24-year-old has struggled with the O's this season, slashing .214/.333/.286 in 33 plate appearances.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Ryan McKenna was optioned to the team's alternate site following Monday night's game, according to Dan Connolly of The Athletic. In the first 13 games of his major league career, McKenna is 3-for-15 with a triple, one RBI and five runs scored. It's believed McKenna was optioned so that the team could bring up infield depth, as Freddy Galvis deals with a groin injury. There's no reason to have McKenna rostered in redraft leagues at this time, but if he gets increased playing time later on he could be worth a look, as he has 10-homer, 20-steal potential.
