Miami Marlins right-handed pitcher Sterling Sharp was designated for assignment Monday, which may end his tenure with the club after having come over as a Rule 5 draft selection. Sharp was hit particularly hard Sunday, allowing five runs (four earned) on three hits and three walks while recording just one out. With the Marlins slowly getting the core pieces of their team back after a COVID-19 outbreak within the organization, Sharp has found himself on the outside looking in. Until he finds a new club and consistently gets outs in relief, he can safely remain on the waiver wire in all formats.
