It is unlikely Barnette will have much of a role with the Rangers to end the season as it is unlikely we see him until late in September.

He has borderline closer stuff and has historically been a good strikeout pitcher. If you have a deep bench and need help at reliever, Barnette may be a name to at least keep an eye on if not speculatively add.
