Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Troy Scribner went 3 2/3 innings pitched, giving up four hits, two earned runs, and six walks while striking out four in the 2-1 loss to the Washington Nationals. With Scribner rocking a 2.73 WHIP in this start, it was quite evident his control was nowhere near where he wanted it to be and it resulted in him reaching 98 pitches before the fourth inning ended. If Scribner makes another start, he should not be owned or streamed after watching this performance.
Troy Scribner Called Up From Triple-A, Will Start For Diamondbacks On Saturday
Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Troy Scribner has been called up from Triple-A Reno Aces and will start Saturday against the Washington Nationals. Scribner posted a 4.18 ERA with a 2-1 record last season in 23 2/3 innings pitched and will look to try and make a name for himself in an injury-plagued Diamondbacks pitching staff. Jake Barrett was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Scribner should only be streamed in desperation as the Nationals don't make for the friendliest matchup, being ninth in the MLB for runs along with Steven Strasburg taking the mound as well.
