The second half of the NBA is going strong, as the season winds down. Tonight we have seven games to fix up a DFS lineup to win some money for those March Madness bets.
For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.
NBA Quick Links
Point Guard
Coby White (FD: $7,900, DK: $7,800): Coby White is looking to bounce back after a dismal game against the Dallas Mavericks. Tonight he has a good matchup as his Chicago Bulls are taking on the fast-paced Indiana Pacers. The Pacers are second in pace while being the third-worst team in defense. White has had a great season, which might lead to a Most Improved Player award. Tonight is the night that White gets it going again.
Vasilije Micic (FD: $6,000, DK: $6,200): LaMelo Ball is still out for the Charlotte Hornets, so they will rely on Tre Mann and Vasilije Micic to handle point guard duties. Micic is the guy to choose from. In the month of March, Micic has had at least 19 fantasy points in each contest. He seems like the most trustworthy of the backcourt options that the Hornets have. They are also facing a banged-up Grizzlies team, which hopefully entails a close game.
Shooting Guard
Brandin Podziemski (FD: $6.400, DK: $6,300): The Warriors have had a hard time trusting rookies over the last decade, but Brandin Podziemski does not play like the typical rookie. He is not afraid to play defense and crash the glass while knocking down some shots here and there. In 8 out of his last 10 games, he has amassed at least 20 fantasy points. The Warriors face the Dallas Mavericks tonight, who have been struggling as of late on defense. There is a good shot that Podziemski can crack 20+ fantasy points for another night.
DeJon Jarreau (FD: $4,700, DK: $5,300): The Memphis Grizzlies are extremely depleted right now. They are taking chances on a lot of young talent as they are just trying to put out a starting five. One player that is taking advantage of the opportunity is DeJon Jarreau. Jarreau might be struggling to make shots at an efficient rate, but he is filling up the stat sheet. He’s had a game with 10 rebounds while having multiple steals in his two games as well. He has had 25+ fantasy points in those two games. The Grizzlies need anyone to step up and Jarreau is one of those young guys filling in the void.
Small Forward
Simone Fontecchio (FD: $6,100, DK: $5,100): The Detroit Pistons have had a dismal season, but there have been bright spots. One of them for the second half of the season is their deadline acquisition, Simone Fontecchio. In his last five games, he has had 30+ fantasy points in three of them. Monty Williams trusts Fontecchio, who seemed like a random throwaway. The price is very low for a guy who has shown he is capable of putting up a high point total.
Jake LaRavia (FD: $5,600, DK: $5,400): I have already talked about the lack of depth the Grizzlies have right now due to a plethora of injuries. Jake LaRavia is another player who is stepping up when his name is called. In his last ten games when LaRavia plays 20+ minutes, he gets 25+ fantasy points. As the injuries continue to be prevalent, look for LaRavia at a cheap price for your DFS lineups.
Power Forward
Franz Wagner (FD: $7,400): After getting hot out of the All-Star break, the Orlando Magic have lost back-to-back games. Franz Wagner struggled in both of those games. I think that ends tonight and he bounces back. The Magic face the Brooklyn Nets tonight; a team that Franz has been good against this season. Franz is averaging 20.7-6.7-5.0 splits in three games against the Nets this season. I see Franz having an all-around good game tonight.
Kelly Olynyk (FD: $6,800): The Toronto Raptors made a few moves this season and one was bringing in Kelly Olynyk, the Toronto native. With an injury to their All-Star, Scottie Barnes, Olynyk is needed to step up, which he is doing. Since the injury to Barnes, Olynyk has had four games of 30+ fantasy points.
Center
Nikola Jokic (FD: $12,300, DK: $12,000): Nikola Jokic is by far the most expensive player on the board again, but he is the best player in the world and proves it every night. He has been excellent in the second half of the season with triple-doubles coming with ease. Jokic is dominating the game and might need to be a must-play with a lot of value plays on the board.
Daniel Gafford (FD: $6,800, DK: $5,000): Daniel Gafford has not missed a shot in four straight games, which is absurd to think about. He’s benefiting from playing with such a great passer like Luka Doncic. Gafford has been spectacular since the Mavericks have put him in the starting lineup. He will rebound, block shots, and catch lobs. His price compared to his ceiling is too good to pass up.
